The man is able to get up and sing and play at 82! How many people his age already have health problems that they feel good just getting out of bed and doing the daily routine? I've never been a massive fan but I respect him for being able to do that much! And from the sound of it there's a huge crowd! He not only is performing but people are PAYING to see and hear him. That alone is phenomenal. I saw a special following Glen Campbell when he had moderate Alzheimer's. He couldn't remember the words to some of his classics, he couldn't remember his children's name, but his fans came to his concerts because it was his last one. When he forgot the words they sang them for him. Fans don't come to see a young rock star they come to hear Paul McCartney just as he is.
What a honor for any audience still be able to watch the greatest pop-rock artist of all times. I just saw the Ringo Starr show in the USA and had a great time.
I consider it a miracle that Paul is still singing at his age. Of course, the Beatles are still a timeless miracle band. Let us thank Paul for giving us dreams forever.
I read a lot of comments being so hard on Paul's voice. Ok, we get it, he is 82 years old. His voice isn't the same as at the Cavern Club. I think that's quite obvious. But you know what? I was there. I'm from Uruguay and I was at that same concert. I can say it's hugely moving, to-the-tears moving, to see someone his age, with his career giving it ALL. Singing his songs and those of his friends like absolutely nobody else can, because he's part of those songs and those songs are part of him. Besides that, this song was around 2 hours after the concert started. By that time he had sung not few songs, some of them quite hard on the throat. So if you may enjoy a living legend sharing a part of himself through a 3 hours concert (he could easily perform half the time, sing some Beatles songs and go back to the hotel, but he doesn't), please go while you can and enjoy it. I promise you won't regret it. If not, I don't know, just listen to something on TH-cam, it's ok.
that is really the truth, Paul is still a great performer and his voice is aged, but so musical and emotional. Paul is so inspiring also by showing us how to get old with grace.
Ah, a lovely song sang by one of Johns best mates....we all love the song and it makes me emotional but just imagine how this song hits Paul...John wrote 'For Paul' on the tape....incredibly powerful. Paul can still belt out songs better than i will ever be able to, this song suits Johns voice better but that's not stopping Paul singing this awesomely power song that was written by his old mate, its lovely.
Paul is a musical genius and a very accomplished player,he had a nearly 5 octave range. Age takes much from us but Paul is still out there performing.Yes,his voice is not what it was at 20 but whose is. I am 68 and I cannot sing as I did in my youth. I will shed many a tear when Paul leaves this stage we all play upon.
Sorry to hear that Paul's voice is shot. He is 82 now and all these years of singing has come to an end. He now sounds like an old man singing. I know he is a legend but It's a pity that all things must pass eventually. Regardless, I Love you Paul, and all the Beatles. Your music will live on forever.
I cried the first time I heard this when it was released. It feels like each Beatle is singing a love song to the others. How blessed I am to have witnessed their incredible careers from Love Me Do in 1962 to now. Truly the soundtrack to my life.

You would be amazed at the amount of performers these days use miming or Auto-Tune so why can't McCartney? After all we are still seeing the genius who created the songs
You want Paul to use auto tune? No way. Paul’s voice is shot but at least you know what you’re hearing is him. And his gravely voice works perfectly on this song. 1966 Paul McCartney wouldn’t sing it as convincingly as he does here
@@jordansmith5978 of course I don't want McCartney to resort to mining or Auto-Tune I what the fantastic voice of McCartneys we used to have once! But he gets knocked about his vocal performances while others don't! Why not a compromise? What if he asked the fans, acknowledge himself that his voice is not as good as it used to be, and because of his age he will need some help to sing? that would be the honest thing to do, (not like some of the so called stars of today) the fantastic songs he has created, that doesn't take away from his genius we are still seeing him live
Too be honest I think the original demo was way better than what Paul,Ringo and Giles Martin did to their new reimagined studio version. John’s original demo that is on TH-cam tube had like two extra bridge sections that just really tied the song together more in my opinion. The problem I think the surviving Beatles had was that for the other bridge parts in John’s demo he hadn’t fully fleshed out and finished the lyrics so many of his vocal Melodie’s in the demo were just placeholder gibberish until he had the chance to go back and flesh actual words out. For some reason Paul must have decided not to do that so they just took a massive chunk out of John’s demo and they just repeated the verse and chorus totally leaving out the other bridge parts when they recorded the 2023 version. I think no offense to Giles but Paul should have brought Jeff Lynne back in to produce. Lynne would have pushed Paul more to stay true to the actual demo. Jeff is a musical genius. He may not have the credits Paul does but I feel Jeff is a better multi-instrumentalist than Paul as far as musical chops go.
Mike Thomas, I totally disagree with you on all accounts including bringing Jeff Lynne back. Jeff is good and did a decent job with the other two songs but they were missing the Martian touches that Giles was able to capture because he knew his father's style so well whereas Jeff did not. You're certainly entitled to your personal opinion, I just don't share it. I think the song sounds great and Paul and Ringo did what needed to be done.
@@awesomeartdigital6077 well I am a little biased because I was already used to hearing John’s original demo over and over throughout the years and I guess I got used to it and was a little shocked to find that Paul’s version cut out so much of the original song.
