So many beautiful projects on the needles! I'll be excited to see them emerge as FOs 😍 I've just finished a Nightshift shawl: It's a special one. I was knitting it in the hospice with my father in March 2019. When he passed, I put the needles down and didn't knit, crochet or spin until this summer when i picked knitting up again on holiday in Shetland and Iceland. Now i have a lovely shawl, a matching hat and some socks 😁 Ive just cast on an SSPS Shawl in some gorgeous yarn purchased in Shetland. When i started knitting again, i had a look at knitting TH-cam, and that's when i found your channel: such a happy algorithm! I also had a novel experience in my two favourite yarn stores this weekend: i left empty-handed! I know what I'll be buying on my birthday in November, though 😉 Have a great time with your projects!

Yay, the bag is still in use! I have one to match for myself😀. Having chopped Reykjavik the sweater in half and reknit it I am ready for something more simple so have a boneyard shawl in some gorgeous colour hanging yarn in purple, orange, yellow and blue for some simple knitting and a pair of vanilla latte socks in a violent rainbow colourway. I mean, sunglasses, folks. Waiting for daughter to choose a pattern for her Christmas jumper - better hurry up or I shall be out of time. Jan x

I'm excited to see the progress of your Let the Good Times Roll sweater! I love the bright colours. I've never tried intarsia, although I've done quite a lot of stranded colourwork. I got scared off it very early in my knitting journey because people kept talking about how tricky it is. I think in 2025 I'm going to try to choose more projects that teach me new skills, so maybe it will finally be time for intarsia. Between your project and Knit365 Martyn's argyle sweater vest, I'm feeling inspired. In October, though, when so many people will be working on a new Stephen West shawl, I want to pull out mine from last year and try to get it finished! And when i just can't face a row of over 400 stitches, I also have a half finished pair of socks for a friend that I'd love for them to be able to wear this autumn. It's a very satifying pattern of just knits and purls in diamond shapes, so it looks fancy while still being relaxing to work on. I hope you have a lovely month and get to work on everything you plan to!
I love the idea of spending 2025 trying new things and expanding your skills. If you’ve done a little of colour work before I’m sure you won’t have any problems with intarsia. I think the trickiest thing is yarn management but it’s such a fun technique I hope you decide to try it sometime Hope you manage to get your shawl finished I’m here cheering you on 😃🧡
You've got a good selection lined up for this month! I'm working on a jumper test knit that has a tight-ish deadline, so that's going to be my main focus, but I always have a sock project on the needles for when I'm out and about!

Hey Ange!! How are things going in the UK? We've had a VERY hot summer with little rain. Highs have been about 37C all summer.. Do you like the Color Labs yarn? I bought a couple of skeins for Summer Sock Camp, but haven't cast on yet. It's a long story. Those purple socks are beautiful!! I love mixing a solid with a self striping for a whole new effect Have a great October!!
Oh wow I don’t know if I’d survive in that heat. We only had a few days of hot weather and the rest of the summer was pretty disappointing. Yes I’ve enjoyed working with the colour lab yarn, I don’t think I’ve met a WYS yarn that I haven’t liked. Hope you have a great October too 🤞🧡😃
