I used to deck the Thunder Chicken. You can't fish a better boat on this Coast! The crew, the , knowledge given, and being one of the best wood boats left from the beginning of sports fishing, gets bit more than any other boat on the Coast! Thanks Shea! You know what I mean. Great editing, too.

Good fishing, but I am not sure if I could deal that many people crammed in a boat. Wonder how much it costs

    • @christophercolumbus7098

$129 on weekdays and up to $199 on weekends

I have yet to catch my first yellowtail. Any tips would be appreciated, for I am not a great fisherman just yet. I heard of something called bottom and top shot. Bottom shot 80lb spectra. Top shot mono 50lb?? 2 lines attached, but I feel fish might be line shy, I come from freshwater fishing where I struggled due to me using gigantic line size and folks clowning on me. Help!!!

What I use on my trinidad 16a is 50 lb test jbraid x8 multi color with about 3-4 feet of fluorocarbon (35lb seagaur kureha, 30lb blackwater, or 25lb blackwater) tied with a fg or pr knot. Hooks I recommend to start with are 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, 4/0, and 5/0 owner live bait hooks or circle hooks in those sizes too (I take a box of about 15-20 different hook types/sizes) the hook you use all depends on the size of the mackerels or sardines(aka bait size the boat uses/has access too). I tie my hook to my fluorocarbon using the palomar knot. I have some cheap 20-50lb rod I picked up on Craigslist that has done the job, trying to pick up a terez tzc-80M soon. **Not saying the way I fish is the correct way or the only way but its my way and it's what has caught me my yellowtails **

Shoot I'm lost? What's jbraid x8? types of line makers colors? Wow

Daiwa makes tons of fishing stuff they also make a couple braided fishing line as well as other companies, the line that I use is Daiwa J-Braid. J-Braid comes in x4 and x8 If i can remember correctly it had to do something with the weaves. I use J-Braid x8(now depending what tackle shop you go to they may have different test as well as color options) I bought the multi-color version because it changes colors every 10 meters which makes finding the fish depending on what the captain is tracking easier. Or you can go to your tackle shop and when choosing your line see if they have a solid color or something that you like. I recommend that you look up TH-cam videos since may people show what setup they use as well as look up and read reviews of products online so you get a better understanding of what you may need to catch yellowtails.
