What the hell!!?? He references this bully a lot doesn't he?? Wow I never knew this! That's why I appreciate y'all!! Keep these comments coming lol you schooling me!
R ToneyReactions , There’s a documentary done really well about his life starting with how his parents met, his Aunt and Uncle and Mother are interviewed, tells how he met Kim. (Ugh there’s probably a lot of them so not sure the name) but besides through his music (obviously) this documentary told me so much about him. Someone who never even listened to him could watch it and get all these details Ems fans know about him :)
When I first saw you I subscribed without even looking at your views or subs count. I just assumed you were a channel that had already made it a fair way. That’s a good sign man
What intrigued about Em back then the most was not only was he spittin and telling stories that all somehow always connected to each other but I was cheering on the crazy lyrics because it was driving politicians so crazy that they were holding hearings about Explicit lyrics in the House of Representatives. I just like to cheer for the nuisance Lol
@@ToneyReactions Thirty-two-year-old DeAngelo Bailey filed suit against the rapper, citing lyrics from “Brain Damage” (a song from the 1999 album The Slim Shady LP) as slanderous. The lyrics read in part: “I was harassed daily by this fat kid named DeAngelo Bailey/He banged my head against the urinal till he broke my nose, soaked my clothes in blood, grabbed me and choked my throat.” Eminem’s mother has publicly defended her son’s account of Bailey’s bullying. What a weak bitch boy right, the fucking nerve lol
Greatest thing about Eminem is his brutal honesty, which he's used throughout his career in most of his songs. Yes it has fantasy elements in it but not only was this based on real events that happened to him where a bully beat him so badly he was in a coma and had to learn to walk and speak again after suffering real brain damage, HE USED THE BULLY'S REAL NAME 😂 When this first came out, the first thing I thought (after realizing he could really rap) was that it was like he took a great horror film and put it into a record. One that was brutal, real, intricate, sarcastically and darkly comic over sick beats and an insane unorthodox flow, all at the same time. Being a huge fan of the horror genre in all mediums, I was into it immediately. But no one including me knew that what we were witnessing and listening to the reincarnation of an entirely new sub genre of hip hop, one that didn't yet really have a name. I was listening to one of the godfathers of horrorcore re-creating the horrorcore sub genre on his first horrorcore album. Eminem is the Rod Serling (look it up 😂), the Alfred Hitchcock of rap and hip hop. Esham and Geto Boys dipped in the pond first, but Eminem made a new lane, his own lane, by mixing personal, real happenings, AND PEOPLES REAL NAMES, with horror fantasy yet he took it much darker, much bloodier, much more topical, and much more personal than anyone before him had dared to go; and he's been riding it for 22 years. Nothing short of lyrical genius.
This album and mmlp were on repeat throughout most of my childhood. This one, my fault, as the world turns, '97 bnc, role model, drug ballad... so many of these songs just captured me at a young age... never was a fan of "typical" hip hop... it was always eminem and juggalo music for me... wicked shit and different shit for life
I was 16, little white kid from the hood and when this came out I already been a big hip-hop head...Im from Oakland and everybody I knew rapped so it took a lot to impress us.. Man this album got played until we had every song memorized...nobody ever heard nothing like it, mind blown. And the fact he keeps getting better for so long is unheard of! Name one other rapper that got nothing but better their whole career...shits insane. I couldn't relate to everything but he had some relatable shit for dudes who grew up like I did...fireal.
I was 12 when I started listening to Eminem. I was a HUGE fan. Even my Dad liked him and would listen to the Slim Shady LP and Marshall Mathers LP with me. I missed him when he took a long break, not making Albums.
Yep! Head bobbing 🤣 And D angelo took him to court and tried to sue him for defamation of character. Lol🤣The suit was dropped, and he didn't get a dime from Em.
This is a true story. The bully D’Angelo Bailey actually sued him over this song and lost. Been on this Eminem/Slim Shady/Marshall journey since the beginning and he only gets better and better.
I'm aware she had mental illness and that combined with the drugs didn't help her when raising him... Leading to him being the way was and is today! He's overcome a lot! Which makes his success that much more great!
First thing I ever heard from his was Hi, My Name Is...just thought he was a weirdo one hit wonder kinda dude, didn't listen to the first full album until the 3rd one came out. Man was I wrong...
1999. This album changed the world!!!
The beginning of the takeover
This is a true story. He put Em in a coma that he was in several months. He had to relearn how to talk and walk.. crazy the shit he’s gone through
