I know this is an old idea post, so I don't know if I will hear back from you. I have a #1, and 2 #1+'s. Did you get any more cassettes? You can enlarge the letters by pressing the "+" signs for stitch length, and stitch width. It will beep differently when it is enlarged as far as it will go.
Help !!!! I believe I have the same machine 1100 I got it in a Goodwill close to my home with everything but the Manual. I love it but I'm having trouble with the thread I make handbags for friends and just for the fun of it, usually i sew them with Upholstery thread, which is heavier than normal, I can't find the correct tension on the left side wheel, since you been playing with yours longer could you tell me if you have any idea what works good for heavy threads. Thank you very much for you reply.
I have the Viking #1 and am trying to make a quilt label with it. I can program one word but can't figure out how to program a space between words. Any ideas? By the way, to smooth out your labels, pin a piece of Stitch-N-Tear behind the fabric. It's easy to tear off when you're finished.
Thank you so much for your videos on your Husqvarna #1 machine! My grandma bought hers when they first came out in 1993, and now I have it, so of course I went to TH-cam to help me learn how to properly use it :) your videos have been great, and I appreciate them so much! Like you, I'm a visual learner, so they're perfect. Did you ever figure out how to get the little flower embellishments to work? I have my grandma's original manual book, and it has a whole section on them. If you want, I can send you some photos of it? Because maybe you can still get them to work somehow! Let me know :)
@@l337Jacqui oh my....I love you... I saw your post was dated 2014 and thought I would never hear from you. I bought my machine for $20 Included only the A cassette I bought some cassettes off eBay...my B cassette is probably the RIGHT one because it shows the pictures TRUE

some people have no clue.. even if they got smacked by a clue. they wouldn't have a clue. and when working with Tech, it can be so intimidating and confusing.. at least you went slowly. i got this machine 1100 viking at a Flea market for $35 and trying to figure out how it works and you was the first one that was just as confused as i was.. and i do not have the book or manual..
This is not a #1+. The 1+ is also an embroidery machine and you wil see on the back of the machine a small panel that is removed for the embroidery unit to attach to so the electrics work it. Also, under the arm, front of machine in the "elbow" you I'll see a slot to take memory cards on the +1 and this machine doesn't have it.

I got this same one when i bought the same sewing machine new mine has never work eather
I have the same #1 plus machine and cassette B works fine. Your machine may need an adjustment.
Hi, I am trying to make 1/2 with cassette B. Can you tell me how to get the / symbol?
Valerie...have you tried the arrow buttons on the left side of the cassette...the arrow keys...you could stitch your own that way
Can you please post more videos I just got one of these with not users guide
You can find the users guide on line. I found it by googling Husqvarna embroidery #1.

@@darcyhill5982 hi again! just copied the manual for you. send me an e-mail, and i'll get it to you! :) my e-mail is in my last comment.
if you put stablizer between material or under material it will help to stop puckering
You would be better off using a tear away stabiliser with your fabric when stitching letters and decorative stitches.
Helloooo
I just picked up the #1 model
It only came with cassette A
I've since bought the B,C,D and L cassettes.
We should TALK

You can download the full manual from the husqvarna website.
Did you ever figure out how you can increase the letter size anyone?
Not yet
Have you tried cleaning the contacts?
I just got a husqvarna sewing machine; I thought it was a 1250/#1; but I believe it is actually an 1100, that being said, which one are you using?
