But when you discover it, you realize the person still loves somebody else and your world ruins... OR... When you start a new love but you realize you still love your "old one"... +Die Nadel Intresting thought..I was assuming that she is singing about their relationship and that her partner cheated on her(opened your eyes and there was someone else) and now the partner has to live with the consequences of their relationship going downhill because she is all depressed and she drags him down (now I got you in the undertow). or the singer could be the other woman that "seduced" the guy and he blames her for his trouble because he cheated on his girlfriend and so he hurt her and also himself because they broke up...I can't decide between the two but those are my thoughts..
I think she knows her ex will never fully get over her. She's knows that and sees it. She kinda feels bad but empowered by it at the same time. That's what this songs about. Been there.
