The actors really should watch how blind people use their cane. Bouncing it hard on the ground back and forth I never see. It’s a smooth back and forth sweeping motion for the ones I am around.
I let that slide because there's no "set rule" for how to use a cane, also, if someone's newly blind they might not know how high they're rising their canes yet, and they might not have found a way of how THEY like to use it to be effective.
I have a brother who lost his vision due a car accident. I try my best to help him around with some computer stuff even he tries his best to not act like he is in needs and I don’t even make him feel that way because I always tell him you are smarter than me, you always do it yourself but you are a lazy a$$ haha.. anyway it always makes me smile that people around him are nice and try to help him around 💗
if you guys do another one of these blind social experiments maybe have the actor or actress practice dragging the walking stick back and forth along the ground as that’s how actual blind people use them!!! tapping it on the ground wouldn’t help them distinguish their surroundings
