Sir, I enjoyed your visit to the salty seaside town of Lubec, Maine, especially the excursion to West Quoddy Head lighthouse and the adjacent park. Speaking of the park, what a delightful and surprising find. Kudos to the good folks who are responsible for the planning and maintenance of the park. Should the Mrs. and I ever travel up to this part of Down East Maine, we’ll be sure to pay a visit to the park and have a pint in downtown Lubec.
Wife and I were staying in Machias and drove up to Lubec and Eastport last September. Very nice area! We had a nice dinner at the Inn on the Wharf. Hope to return again one day.
@@shoestringshipyardsailing9681 yes I’ve heard of that and also the lobster festival in Rockland in August. We stopped at that wild blueberry land museum on Route 1 and also Monica’s Chocolates on Route 189. Both were nice.

Good question! The answer is no. Cars and camping are not allowed in this particular park. However, there are campgrounds nearby and plenty of woods roads and trails in close proximity that can be used for an off-road vehicle excursion - plus a number of ATV and snowmobile trails nearby as well.

Thank you for your service, sir. 👍👍👍 I'm a fellow vet (USMC), got out in 1975. You can't drive a car in the park but disabled folks can use motorized wheel chairs and such - no problem. You can also have a service dog with you.

This park is "dog friendly" and many people do take their dogs with them. 👍👍👍
