Believe it or not, but I saw Guns -N-Roses open up for The Cult at the Toronto CNE Grandstand on August 19, 1987. Nobody knew who they were at that time. Sweet Child O Mine wasn't even on the set list. My ticket cost $22.50 Canadien. Unreal show and great memory. Were you there too?
I sure was! I was already a fan at that point, through magazines. I usually talk about my history with a band before I do these videos, but I had tons of distractions, and forgot. Anyway, people HATED GnR at that show!
@@danbowskimexico Also saw Aerosmith at Maple Leaf Gardens October 20th 1987, Dokken opened up the show. You must've been there too? Do you keep your old ticket stubs? Would be awesome to see a video of all your old concert stubs.
Nope, didn't go to that one, but I remember it (it's amazing how many concerts I didn't go to, but remember them). I did see them on that tour the following summer at the CNE, with Cheap Trick.
