It was sad to see a youngster's death in front of our eyes, three solo riders overtook our stopped vehicle(Due to traffic Jam)- Toyoto Innova from left and went ahead a few metre's , one among them skid and fell in the river, within a fraction of second everything happened ,we were all helpless and shocked to see a youngster's death, the govt's apathy, negligence has caused the death of an innocent, either they should have closed the road or they should taken temporary/precautionary measure towards safety as hundreds of adventure bikers pass through the route daily. Its soo sad to hear about shayok river bike accident...RIP TO death person,im a driver n i know well about shayok road n rivers situation,n i really very proud toUT RDRF team to find a death body frm shayok river in a short time...u guys done 👍👍👍👍 a great job..im really soo thnxxxful to u all team members n salute to u all guys...
There should be warning signs for bikers and to other tourists about the condition of the road,the level of water in rivers and the height of the passes. Its strange that no barricades are erected when water level rises in the rivers.

@@ygc5404 you cannot blame every biker for the same, and yes we do put camera on our helmet so we can show world how careless car drivers and truck drivers drive. It is to capture beauty of the hill station and also to ensure safety of our own.
The current UTDRF in Ladakh is inadequately equipped to handle major disasters due to its outdated structure and capabilities. To address this critical issue, the UT administration should prioritize a comprehensive restructuring of the team. This overhaul should focus on incorporating young, highly skilled professionals such as divers, mountaineers, and firefighters who are trained in modern rescue techniques and can effectively manage the unique challenges of Ladakh’s environment. Such a reformation would significantly enhance the team’s readiness and ability to respond to emergencies, ensuring greater safety and resilience for the region.

Shayok road should be closed till the water level to decrease.
