No reprogramming is required. I just recently changed the batteries in mine again (it hadn’t been working for nearly a month) and as soon as the battery was replaced it worked as it should. Thanks for watching and for the question.
My father opened up the 2007 pilot keys to replace the battery but when he put it back together he did it wrong and you can’t even press the buttons down. It’s like everything is pushed up. What went wrong?
So i changed the battery and it it unlocks and locks, but when i put it in the ignition it will crank but not start, when i use the spare battery it starts!. .i tried a few times and it will only crank when i use the replacement battery key and only starts with the spare...need help!!
I don’t know for certain, but it sounds like the ignition module is not recognizing your key. This may require a trip to the dealership for a reprogramming, but others may have another opinion.
Thanks for the help !
No problem! Thanks for watching!
Does it always require reprogramming or is there a chance it will work right after changing the battery?

The internals can be displaced slightly, open it back up and reset the circuit and switches to the correct location.
Thank you!
You are welcome!

It may require reprogramming by the dealer.
