    It’s awesome that you were able to race for an hour and a half in the mud. Great longevity test for those of us waiting on our bikes arrive. Well done!

    Was hoping I'd find the video of you! I was in front of you for a while after 6:39. Was real excited to hear a Stark go by!

    Awesome bro! I raced 250c, placed 8th, surprised you were able to catch footage! my chest mount was covered in the first few turns lol

      Thanks man! Yeah I had to wipe it off a few times. I'm surprised it turned out as good as it did.

    Great job man, my buddies and I were lined up to the right of you. That bike is pretty sweet. Keep posting about it.

      Thank you! Man that was a rough one. It was a great test for the bike but I was hoping for some more "normal" conditions to test it in a race. I had fun but I was happy to see that checkered flag.

      Great video! I was on your right at the start on the CR250. Good job on the video and the race.

    Other than battery issues, it seems another challenge racing that bike in a standard gas race, is the lack of sound. I constantly rev bomb people in front of me and I can hear faster AA riders coming up on my rear to let them pass. For this reason, electric bikes should be allowed to run horns.

    • @lurtbike
      @lurtbike  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I just yelled at people letting them know I was on their left or right. It worked fine for me, but a horn would probably be beneficial. Sometimes its nice to have people not you're there so they aren't trying to keep you from getting around.

    8:56 That’s me going the wrong way. Flipped my bike and had no other choice to get out of there but to go back down😂

      Haha man I passed like 3 people stuck facing the wrong way on that track

    Did the bars themselves bend, or did they just twist in the triples? Were you able to fix it without having to buy new bars? Great video. Thanks for posting the whole race.

    • @lurtbike
      @lurtbike  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They twisted in the clamps. I think it worked itself out after about 15 - 20 mins. That or I just got used to it, I’m not sure which. I did loosen them up when I got home and got it cleaned up and reset everything.

    Kickass! I was hoping to get my Stark Varg in time for this race, but unfortunately the state of Maryland kept that from happening. At least now I'll have data points for settings for doing it next year. I love how you were running at "only 25 HP" but you still get all of that torque and clearly weren't hurting for power in the race.
    How is the ground clearance? I saw some deep ruts in there (as usual). Any problems with bottoming out and "casing" it?

    • @lurtbike
      @lurtbike  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      25 HP is plenty for the woods. I set it on 35 for the start and as soon as I hit the woods I switched to 25. You can also do power modes with the same HP but increase regen braking for things like long descents. Ground clearance is fine. I’ve never had an issue with casing or getting hung up.

    I gauge my speed on revs and engine sound, I would kill myself before I got used to it, but it’s pretty cool.

    • @lurtbike
      @lurtbike  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha yeah it definitely takes some getting used to. You can sort of tell by the sound of the chain and tire but its all linear without any gears. It is so damn smooth and fun to ride though!

    90 minutes ... so you class b or A ? in District 23 60yr class c we are only 1 hour + - lap ... so this bike would do it easily for me?

    • @lurtbike
      @lurtbike  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m 40+C Class. I completed 90 minutes of racing in very muddy conditions with 26% battery left. You should be fine as long as you don’t set your HP too high. I keep mine between 25 and 35 in the woods. Both around 60 regen braking.

  • @mxriderdakar
    @mxriderdakar ปีที่แล้ว

    What was your piwer setting and engine regen? Cool youwere able to ride around 1h30 in those conditions.

    • @lurtbike
      @lurtbike  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Mostly between 25 and 35HP and around 60 on regenerative braking. I got the holeshot on 35HP no problem but it was so slick and muddy i didnt want to go above that. On the singletrack i was mostly in 25HP which was plenty. I probably could have dialed that back some more. I could have done a 4th lap on 25HP I believe.

    Need to go to live engine starts to even the hole shot odds. That thing is instant go.

    • @lurtbike
      @lurtbike  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Even with that, I don't have to shift gears. These bikes are going to change the whole game I think - if they can get the batteries to where last an entire main event.

      @lurtbike nice I want to try one on my stark the summer. I know it's gonna be tight

    • @lurtbike
      @lurtbike  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah man 2 hours would be cutting it close but this was super muddy and I had a few crashes and wasted time on a bad line. I think if you keep the horsepower down and don’t waste time getting stuck places it’s doable though. Gotta stay smooth and don’t waste energy (bike or yourself).
