I am a super senior citizen having net income after limit of Rs 5 lacs is Rs 53000. I have to pay tax at 20 % on Rs 53000 plus Rs 12500 from 2.5 to 5 lacs or only on Rs 53000? Thanks

Many online tax calculators are available. Just fill your total income and check the tax computation. It might show tax as per old and new regime and you will know it. Anyway you can change the method while.you file your IT return and claim refund..

No rules as to how much you can invest.. everything is taxable once you gain profits. Long term capital gain upto 1L is exempt.. rest is taxable..
