These cameras still are very usable, but the challenge is in finding one that is in decent condition. Most that I have seen are in poor condition. As a user, it's still a triplet, which is good enough but will usually fall short of a Tessar.
The lugs at the bottom are for the old type of strap with a hole and a slit. You'd pull the strap through the top lugs and fastened the ends on the bottom ones. Most of those straps are gone now or too worn and brittle to use. I have both versions of the Rolleicord I, this one and the leather covered one with the 3,8 Triotar. I like the frame counter on these. Easy to see from the top.
