How long it will take depends on following: 1) battery capacity 3.7V 2200mAH will take longer than 3.7V 1000mAH 2) TP4056 can charge a battery at 1A Max but only if the USB power input can provide it 3) what load is connected in parallel 4) how much the battery is discharged In worst case a 3.7V 2200mAH battery would take 3 hours to charge

Because the battery and the load are separated this way, the intermediary is the protection board which switches the load on and off to protect the battery from over discharge.

This was an easy one. Just follow the instruction. But can you handle this one? When I start charging a cell (18650), first the red LED comes on, but after about 5-10 minutes the blue LED starts rapidly blinking with the read one going steady lit. The starting voltage is about 3.8 V, charging current 1 A. The cell's capacity is rather weird - a whole 8.8 A. Cells on 3.5 A are charging with no problems - from 3.5 to 4 hours from the starting voltage of 3.8 V to the ending voltage of 4.2 V.

Hi there, I often use this chip, but in a project that I am carrying out happens a strange thing.. connecting only one chip to a solar panel (or directly to a stable 5v input) it charges the battery and has a stable output on the out pin but, connecting two chips in parallel, as shown in this image ( shrani.si/f/Z/Om/45VaDfJg/18650-.jpg ) both leds are on .. I verified that it loads the lipos and feeds the load at 4.2 volts, but... maybe I am wrong on something? I won't that lipos suddently explode..

FYI : when charging the battery with this module, please add an alumunium heat sink to reduce the heat from the IC / TP 4056, because it can draw current 1000mA. Or you can reduce the current by removing the R3 and change with 1,8K Ohm to get 700mA, and keep adding the heat sink behind this board. Max size 14x14 mm Of course, the time will take longer but it is safe for the battery. Usually it takes 3 ~ 4 hours to fully charged, but again, depend on battery capacity and current output.
