Amen brother Laith, God on the cross saw into another condemned mans heart, forgave his worldly sins and said that today he would be in our fathers house. Love one another in thoughts, words and actions is to be a follower of The Way, or Jesus Christ. The name above all names. Ive been in prison and Jesus kept me company, Ive been at one of my sons hospital bed as he died and Christ was with us. Another amazing apologist who sometimes works alongside Ravi is John Lennox. He is brilliant as well. He reconciles the "science vs religion" debate. A must watch is his debate with Dawkins.

If you have lost your way friend, and believe these teachings of men; that the bible is fraught with error, that the scripture can be re-interpreted and re-packaged and biblical accounts "thrown out" because they do not fit in with OUR understanding, then you are part of the "falling away". Do you believe Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Light? Peter Enns does not. Peter Enns puts his "knowledge" and understanding of scripture above Christ's, claiming that He "erred". I think I will stick to God's Word, not Mr. Enns.

Presupposition on what you think I know about scripture. You presuppose that I have not had any personal experience that lines up with scripture. If God is a personal experience, and those experiences through prayer or dreams or the presence of the spirit verify what is written (and not in koine Greek, because that would put limitations on God AND the people who seek him) then that speaks volumes to me and millions of others I suppose. You implied that Ravi is not completely honest, yet do you even know if you are? Every word from your mouth, every sponsoring thought, the context in which you express your beliefs are 100% accurate? I say perhaps you should take your own advice.
Knowledge and wisdom part ways when people fail to be humble and compassionate. We are all guilty of that no? Placing God in the box of secularism, fitting him into the context and confines of the "enlightenment" and "new age philosophies" is just a way of conforming to the world. I agree that people need to step back and think and reflect. Well, I have and you are telling me that I need to continue that (because you assumed that I hadn't) until I fit into your "box". I stand with what has been revealed to me personally, and that lines up with scripture. Instead of taking my response to your initial post as an attack on what you have learned, experienced or believe, perhaps you should take it for what it was meant for..... a genuine concern from one of us "closed and simple minded Christians"..... so I leave it there and wait for another correction and inerrant interpretation on how I should think of the Creator, who He really is, if He REALLY existed, and most importantly, if He did exist, is/was He wrong?

As a ex Agnostic who delved heavily in the occult and ancient kemetic (African) spirituality who now loves Christ Jesus...I have to say, when a person says this predates this therefore I believe in x, ask them what exactly do they believe? what doctrine is taught? They may say Ma'at, okay what exactly does that mean practically? I say this to say many will denounce their religion bc of a so called Original but what exactly did Heru teach? outside of the similar events there is no Gospel, there is no good news...all you have to stand on is sand bc saying something predates Christianity with no theology to back it up is futile and nonsensical. Also if you read the bible you will see God do things He really doesn't want to do but since He is Just and has to maintain the laws of the Universe He created, He has to release his wrath. However, He is very loving and merciful even to those who don't deserve it...like myself. I will close and say if you have children and don't discipline the child you hate the child bc ultimately you're saying your behavior is tolerable and okay but when you displine you are correcting that ill behavior...God does this every day.. He allows things to happen for His Glory and for our repentance and correction...If He was that dictatorial wouldn't He just kill everyone off? No...He is loving, patient and gracious to terrible blasphemous people...

It is 2019, first time looking at this clip, Dr. Ravi Zacharias, is the man right now God is using to point out the difference between children of God and religion we need to know the difference.
Thank you Revi Zacharias for tackling this confusion which is being spread by Dr Ray hagins on TH-cam. I was wondering and confused like the young man in the interview about the different diets of christ. Now I know and I have no doubt of Jesus Christ being the real son of God and I will stand and follow him for ever.

If you like Christian apologetics, check out Dr. William Lane Craig (unless you already have). He has lots of vidoes on TH-cam and he also talks about this "copycat" thing and goes to the historical roots of this thinking.
