I noticed that they eliminated the simplified immune cells in the newer immune videos. I think that's partially because they have a higher animation budget now, but I also think they realized that the simplifications in this case actually made things worse. Now in addition to remembering the different cell types and their interactions, you have to remember which color matches which role, and which plain coloured circle is which. I find the newer immune cells easier to remember. It's like they're each a character with a unique design and personality, which is much easier to catch onto.

Me: *Accidentally gets a cut* Me, a day later: Huh. I feel fine. Must've not gotten an infection, then. My immune system: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
This is why it's important to get vaccinated. It gives your cells a chance to learn the disease and create those memory cells. Prevention is better than cure.
Hikaru WDM Viruses and bacteria mutate so you would need vaccinations for them quite often, also, I can assure you that the body can fight it on its own, furthermore vaccines are only 27% (I believe?) effective (not completely against vaccines, just think some are stupid and do more harm that good)
@@NuDavai hello there, I want to start off with the fact that I respect your opinion. In most cases your body will do perfectly fine on its on. However, there are viruses that are so brutal that morality rates are high. And in this day and age, despite our modern measures to prevent the spread of them, it's easy for viruses and bacteria to spread. Ebola nearly spread beyond Africa but thankfully didn't get a foothold (that I know of anyway). I want to point out that I'm by no means attacking you or your opinion. I'm just pointing out what we all should know (and probably made a right dogs dinner of it).
Hikaru WDM you make very good points, but like I said I’m not against vaccines, just think some are unnecessary, however your Ebola point was very good and I think those are the kind of vaccines we need, not shots for the flu every year, in my opinion it just damages the immune system, no need to say if you respect my opinion or not, (don’t worry I won’t get triggered) we are having a normal conversation and I like it!
@@NuDavai I'd imagine that if the dosage was too high then it would do more harm than good. But I disagree with you about the flu vaccine, I do see your point though. But the flu mutates(?) Every year which is why a new vaccine is needed, I was trained to use a dialysis machine for my late father and was given a flu vaccine. Now I've never had the flu before so was never vaccinated. But due to the fact I was now in frequent contact with blood (and my dad's weakened immune system as a result) I had to be vaccinated so I wouldn't become a carrier. Now I'm obviously not a doctor or nurse and what medical knowledge I have is a result of the training I got which has now since degraded, so here is my reply in a nutshell. I disagree with you about the flu vaccine but I do see your point with how it can do more harm than good. I should point out that I live in the UK too so I only know how things are handled here. (I just remembered that it wasn't that long ago before swine flu didn't exist in the uk).
@@NuDavai Your body can fight it on its own against some types of infection, but not against others. vaccination usually happens against the second tyle (with exception of the flu vaccine). Vaccines are much more effective, especially if you also count herd immunity. Affter measles vaccine has been discovered the number of cases has dropped by over 90% in as little as 5 years! Also i would like to note that no, even if the vaccine is not effective there is no harm done, so your claim is incorrect to begin with. P.S. nustok melstis velniui :P

If you dont see improvement, you should see a doctor ASAP - you may need antibiotics (no biggie, just drink a small amount for as many days as you're told, like taking medicine) :)

This look inside my immune system made me appreciate all it does without my knowledge. I take a lot of it for granted. I'd love to watch a video like this about what effects the food and drink we choose have on our bodies. Junk and good. How is it used, what good and damage it does. It would make me think twice about what fuel (good or bad) I put in my system. Thanks this was great!

smart.
