I’m so excited that Dungeon Crawler Carl books 1 and 2 are on your list! My husband and I just made it to book 5. We had to switch to the audiobook because we only bought up to book 4 with the original covers and I’m too impatient to wait for March and April.
They're so much fun and the audiobooks are fantastic!! My husband and I listen to them together and I'm already looking forward to when we'll next be able to carve out time to progress in book 3!
@ I wish more people talked about them. We bought the first three books for one of my uncles. My aunt says that when he reads them, he mutters “Princess Donut, my queen.”
what an awesome reading year you had!🎉 my faves of 2024 are the faithful and the fallen quartet beartown trilogy a sorceress comes to call the god of the woods funny story look in the mirror (thriller) inheritence games trilogy chronicles of ixia my least faves of 2024 are fyneshade the lost story i only read one non fiction in 2024 (😮), under the bridge, but it doesn’t make a faves list for me. it was interesting, well, mostly harrowing, though. i did also really enjoy reading the three powerless books, the bargainer series, and the crave series. i hope you have a fantastic reading year in 2025, kristin! 💖
I keep thinking of trying Dungeon Crawler Carl...you make me think I need to give it a go. The first 3 books of A song of ice and fire are all SO good. I hope you enjoy your continued journey! I wish the other illustrated books kept the same art style as book 1, because the illustrated edition was so nice and the other 2 books out in that format both have dramatically different art styles and less art overall which I found kind of disappointing.
I have been wondering about the Game of Thrones books. Was the first one exactly like the show and just a lot more added to it that wasn't in the show?
It was pretty similar to the show, but you definitely get more character growth since you're able to spend time inside their heads. To be honest, I watched the first season of the show so long ago that I really don't remember as well as I now know the book. I'm going to need to watch it again to compare!

You had a wonderful reading year as well! I think I need to give The Faithful and the Fallen another shot. I only made it a little way into book one!

I’ve never heard of dungeon crawler Carl but it sounds fun!
It's VERY fun!
You need to read Heavenbreaker by Sara Wolf, she has grown so much since Bring Me Their Hearts, which I still loved, but Heavenbreaker is top tier! 😊❤
Good to know! It's on my TBR and I really loved Bring Me Their Hearts!
🖤🖤✨
