Sir, thank you for sharing your story. I am a general contractor in your area for many years. I purchase most of my material from Chinook Lumber Snohomish. Certainly I appreciate your quality lumber and taking care of your customer. Thank you, sincerely Dan Wahl/ Wahl Construction.
Good to see the mill is still going. I used to pickup here in the early 80's

Terrific video! You are proud, as you should be, of your accomplishments, Eric. Thank you for creating this documentary! I could envision your father in every step you took as you walked about your yard with your tape measure!
I know exactly what you mean. I am the oldest of the four boys. I have always been aware of our German and Swedish heritage. I have always felt that we had something of an immigrant attitude. We all started with little or nothing, educated ourselves well, and pursued careers with attention to quality and integrity. Dad had no idea just how 'Swedish' he was. About three years ago I purchased part of a farm in Sweden and I am in the final stages of moving there. I had no idea how strong heritage feelings can be. I have never lived in a place where I truly feel so at home as I do in Sweden. Living here also shows me where our family's values came from.
What part of the country was he from? Our grandfather, Roscoe Owen Fritch, was born in Paris, Arkansas and grew up in the Winslow and Schaberg areas of NW Arkansas. He came to the Puget Sound area in April of 1910. If you know any of your family's history, get in touch with me. My daughter and I may be able fill you in on some details that could take you back to Baden Baden, Germany and Malmö, Sweden.
I love that you use every bit of every log! I hope your son finds love in the family business.

Being Austrian I really like the way you look at work and how to treat people.

My Grandfather was a Fritch, but all the way on the other side of the country. If you’re as good as him, you’ll do. Take care.
