Guys , awesome content. I totally understand how you say "don't need to be a hero " . I have been involved with motorbikes since 1975 , and still riding on my own track . Came from a BMX , motocross background , been there done that , multiple clubs, Bush riding , now nothing to prove other than just enjoying riding with my kids. I ride a 450 , and this technology brings a smile and hope for the future. Great stuff guys , may the tracks come back. 🤗👍

Ohhh, I think, with 15 racers on a 40 racer gate for the FIM run MXGP's, you will find in 25 years,---that you can't afford a bike. In fact, the new global government will probably deem them "non-essential", and make them illegal. That is just a vision of our direction. But what I know you will think in 25 years is the same as what I think now after my 58 years of life in the USA,------"I really miss those days." The sad part is, your generation will never understand why you are so poor. Just remember 25 years from now,---your teachers called it "progress". This is the bike government wants us to make an buy,---and that kind of intervention is always, with no exception, very very expensive, (and why the EPA mandated 4-stroke engine tripled the cost of a bike.). Son, you are not going to be able to afford it. That is why there are only 15 racers on a 40 racer gate for the FIM run MXGP's. You are watching the sport built by free people, taken over and made dysfunctional. It is the same with every industry we built, during this "transformation of progress". 25 years from now?----good luck kids. @@stefanvogel5061 that’s a good guess. Starks advantage is being able to only concentrate on the bike. Working in a large corporation there’s lots of moving parts, departments and nonsense slowing things down lol

Great clip. If that bike turned you into someone that looked that good, everyone will have to have one. I don't think it's just the e-thing, I think Stark has built a better chassis etc. by a large margin.
Jase would there be any benefits of them adding a clutch to the bike to eliminate engine braking in certain areas and to manipulate power delivery in certain areas do you think?
Love it, not going to be successful though for awhile. I will keep my gas bike as I went to order one and the damn thing is almost $20,000.00 CDN after tax!!! THATS almost 2 450s!! Cheapest is still $18,500.00!!!! I'm a once a week rider myself in the summer but wow on the price!!! And when your a once a week rider, maintenance costs are low and not enough to change a mind.
I’m still riding in the woods right now but planning on getting back on motocross tracks and I definitely will take a serious look at this but the fact that you can order it with a handbrake and even the spring rate for your weight Is value added to the final cost. And I am on number seven E bicycle and I got one of the first Toyota hybrid Camry I. United States so I’m all for the E Motocycle lifestyle. Except for the Harley liveWire because that’s a lot of money to go a little bit of distance . I got a tiny bit more arm pump than normal but I was going faster than normal and I the grips were way too fat for my liking. Pro's out weigh the cons though for sure.
A lot of what you describe is like riding a mountain bike. The levers of course, but all of the extra "wheel and tire" sensations you get with cycling are more noticeable than on a motorcycle. Maybe add some clipless footpegs. LOL
I was just thinking of that too. Except you take a foot off sometimes to counter balance on a dirt bike since there's no pedals that move around. Maybe a clip that comes out somewhat easy?
I feel the battery needs to be addressed. I don't want a quick charge. I want to be able to have like 3 batteries and just be able swap them out, like just adding gas to the tank. I don't have to wait to charge. I want one of these bikes so bad. Just check their website. 13k for a 1 year wait. It's going to be a few more years of riding a combustible engine
Yeah just need 2 battery 100 klm + range. Batterys getting better every year. If you ride 200 klicks on an mx track in one i take my hat off to you but tbh i was worried bout that for the enduro version.so good question.
@@jimgoose9146 it's more of a safety idea than how long 8 can last with the battery. Ever run out of gas on the face of a jump? It would be just nice to have the sense of security. And when you get to about half charge, your able to just swap the battery out, like you would topping off you fuel tank. And I don't want to rely on a charger. I'll charge them when I'm not at the track
That didnt cross my mind but the dash will show the amount of charge i guess so i wouldnt go out on 5% charge..But.for the next 2 years it would be a second bike not the only one . Id keep the wr until i was fully confident
That's what's wrong with the clulture of md is when people say this is what we're chasing. Theirs something to be said for gears sound the clutch the maintenance rebuilding learning the ins and outs of your bike
Some people have jobs so they can pay for the other people too lazy to get one. Maybe some people would rather focus on riding when they finally get a day off. Maybe testing tires, gearing and suspension settings is more useful for riding well than cleaning filters, changing oil and wasting time. You think Tomac is doing bike work in his spare time? Maybe people want performance without having to spend 3k of aftermarket crap that MIGHT create what they’re looking for. If you want to be a purist, cool. Many of us are far beyond that point in our lives and also still own gas bikes. How many noobs dropped $13k on a new Varg.
I ride a Kawi and it's super skinny and I honestly love it because I'm short as hell. Good to know this will be skinny as well. I'm also no hero & will BE MORE than happy with this "cheater bike" 😂 😂.
I'm pretty good with the brakes on a mountain bike but I seem to struggle on my dirt bike. I think this would fix that with both brakes on the bars. I may I even try switching the front brake to the left so it would be easier to apply throttle with front brake at the same time to keep the front end plated on some turns. I see a electric bike in my somewhat distant future. I never buy the first model year.
Funny how you say "knees almost hitting on top of the seat", I'm 6'3 and that happens on normal bikes for me. Does this one allow you to lower the foot pegs?
One of these in the 80hp mode on a tight kart track is going to be incredible. Especially considering how you can dial in engine braking to suit the track and ur riding style these things will be weapons. Should be ridiculous fun
@@Dirtymutt9 Oh fuck yeah ! My biggest problem going from a 2stroke to a 4stroke was learning how to adapt to engine braking. Being able to set that up would be a game changer for me...
This might be a dumb question but if anyone has a answer for me Id appreciate it. So I pre purchased the 80hp model and iv herd you can tune the bike down to say have the power of a 250. Would that be different if you had the 60hp version? So a 250 map for 80hp vs a 250 map for the 60hp would it be the same or different?
Not familiar with Varg and their details yet, but we’ve had quite a few electric bikes. Stick with the 80 version and here’s why In order to produce 80 you need a combination of High Voltage batteries 🔋, Controller that can handle the power for more/longer extended bursts, and Motor that can do the same How is this possible ? Each of all components above can handle more power than what’s in the 60 HP version. You can step the bike down But if you want “more”. You can’t turn it up without hitting the thermal cutoffs or exceeding the manufacturer spec
I will admit, I am biased against electric toys and cars. Hearing a car, moto, race kart are all part of the rush for me. That being said, this looks pretty cool one a couple fronts. 1. Bring Sx riding for masses to the cities that have sound and emissions regulations. 2. Easier to ride. A HUGE obstacle tho will be that many of us also like to trail ride. Some rides being 2-6 hrs. I guess we will have a trail bike and a track bike?
I'm curious if it's much better than the Alta. The original e motocross bike. It had good reviews alot of the same advantages. Think it had easier to swap batteries. They were either ahead of their time or idk what but they went out of business
There’s a whole espionage type story that went on with Alta, if I remember right it involved Harley Davidson. Think it was on this channel, might have been one of the clips with the head honcho of Varg.
Ok .the big question . Im gettn enduro version .so what is its top speed . No point havn all acceleration and a 140 klh top speed .nobodys mentioned the top speed .wr 450 155 klh standard..yep rear brake on bar great had rekluse n 2 levers on left side. Anazing for many situations.
I'm excited for the wave of electric bikes but I can't justify it until the range at race pace is MUCH better. I race HS and Enduro which means up to 80+ ground miles in a single event. I'm willing to do a battery swap, but even then, a 40 mile range isn't feasible right now. Additionally, I will not be getting an eMX bike without a clutch. I think the Varg has a LH brake and not a clutch. There's a good reason why e-Trials bikes all have mechanical clutches!
range on the varg at race pace is going to be somewhere around 15 miles , if you want 40 your going to be running at around 15hp, why people are believing the imaginationland claims is beyond me. unless they are using one of the unicorn blood powered super batteries that get anounced every second tuesday.
@@b45her did you read my entire comment? Obviously the range on the varg is only suitable for MX. Won't be getting electric until there is a 40+ mile range
I'm really excited for electric MX bikes too I'm pushing myself to be more environmentally friendly and would like to switch to a Zero emissions bike I'm liking this Stark.
i want one so bad. i hope i can find some1 to trade out my 22 fc 250 for one if they buy it and dont like it. id throw money on to too. but id probably wait a year or 2 to see if there are any long term issues or a revised model
They should make these street legal it would offset the cost if it was duel use. There is no emissions issues. Suzuki should buy up all the stock upon going public doing a hostile take over and go all electric.
The guy on vital mx “it handles like a 125, but was faster then the ktm 450 I rode”. He was riding the 60 hp version tuned down to 90% max- he was also able to tune the engine braking. I think they were all on the 60hp bike? One guy said the word “fast “ like 8 times in another review. Now the gas babies will cry foul and whine about electric cheaters. Lol. If your gas is all that? What’s up?
@@blubug768 those are the guys I want to hear from- everyday riders , testers thus far- higher level as well were impressed with the speed- impressive especially if they were all riding the 60hp.
Has anyone else wondered if Triumps dirt bikes will be electric? I mean doesn't it seem crazy to invest in ICE motors when the electric thing is right around the corner? They are pretty tight lipped about it, makes ya wonder.
So what happens now? If that thing is as good as you say (which I believe you) then combustion engine motocross bikes won't be able to compete with it. It makes me wonder what good is it gonna do for any manufacturer to invest further R and D in combustion engine dirt bikes.
There won't be a point from a racing programme point of view, if they are this good and dominate races we will definitely see a large focus on r&d of electric bikes. I fear that we could see development of combustion Mx bikes stall with customers being able to buy just refreshed versions of old bikes (kinda like a drz) because the manufacturer is focusing on competing with the electric bikes. The Varg is definitely an affordable beast, it's not some sort of exotic price unobtainable machine, it's just a touch more expensive than a 450 making it real hard to justify hating on it if it is truly that good and has no maintenance to deal with

@@00mazone You take a foot off on mtb too, you just drop the pedal you’re gonna keep your foot on first.
Lack of feel from the tyres was the thing I struggled with most when I quit downhill and bought a dirt bike.
Thats if the govts allow fuel powered bikes for recreation in 2 years
While it's nice it's once plastic piece, it'll suck to replace when one part of it breaks.
Should have taken the big dog aka Sammy. Would be interesting to see him ride it & hear his thoughts. Go the rat!!
So basically this bike will change the game. Just got a new 2022 ktm 450 wondering if I should have waited.
Funny how you say "knees almost hitting on top of the seat", I'm 6'3 and that happens on normal bikes for me. Does this one allow you to lower the foot pegs?
No clutch that would be interesting, no quick disconnect from motor to transmission?
These bikes are going to kill it in Supermoto as well..
Engine braking for winps
I think you should post more of you riding and when your showing clips you should go full screen for the full length of the clips
Jase, the speeds of us old squids are going to go up again, its might turn out to be a bad thing.
Stick with the 80 version and here’s why
In order to produce 80 you need a combination of High Voltage batteries 🔋, Controller that can handle the power for more/longer extended bursts, and Motor that can do the same
How is this possible ? Each of all components above can handle more power than what’s in the 60 HP version. You can step the bike down
But if you want “more”. You can’t turn it up without hitting the thermal cutoffs or exceeding the manufacturer spec
What do you think this would be like as a super moto?
No ear plugs, no foot brake. The current ICE aftermarket is going to contract big time.
I disagree, you’re a really good rider!
Possibly multiple batteries? Same way you have to have gas tanks. But the battery's are just not there yet :(
I'm curious if it's much better than the Alta.
Front end always looks a touch soft and like it wants to knife in corners
The one piece plastics? Bad idea. Loop out? You’re buying shrouds and seat too. $$$$
Which version did you order Jase ? The 60hp or 80hp ?
And how TF is anybody going to use 80hp ???
where were you when alta was making moves bruh?
I'm excited for the wave of electric bikes but I can't justify it until the range at race pace is MUCH better. I race HS and Enduro which means up to 80+ ground miles in a single event. I'm willing to do a battery swap, but even then, a 40 mile range isn't feasible right now. Additionally, I will not be getting an eMX bike without a clutch. I think the Varg has a LH brake and not a clutch. There's a good reason why e-Trials bikes all have mechanical clutches!
Yeah I think a clutch is essential for enduro. I love the idea of the rear brake being a hand lever though, so much more control.
range on the varg at race pace is going to be somewhere around 15 miles , if you want 40 your going to be running at around 15hp, why people are believing the imaginationland claims is beyond me. unless they are using one of the unicorn blood powered super batteries that get anounced every second tuesday.
@@b45her did you read my entire comment? Obviously the range on the varg is only suitable for MX. Won't be getting electric until there is a 40+ mile range
@@MichaelAbramo yes, just stated realistic range for this white elephant of a bike.
He must have stock in e-bikes. They have there place, never will replace motorbikes
Yew Zap Zap
Surely this technology is making ground so fast compared to petrol bikes ,they can never cath up no
Hand rear brake! Hot
The easiest riding is watching it on a screen. If easy is your need.
I'm not a huge fan of super skinny bikes. I think the KTM/Husky/GasGas are too skinny, so I run Steg Pegz on mine.
The storm bee sounds better
Skinny due to no gas tank and the seat goes all the way to the headset.
They should make these street legal it would offset the cost if it was duel use. There is no emissions issues. Suzuki should buy up all the stock upon going public doing a hostile take over and go all electric.
I would not trust the suspension being stock lmao
I want one. I’m old and I want the easy button.
Maybe its a good bike to ride to actually get better riding a normal gasbike. ?
The guy on vital mx “it handles like a 125, but was faster then the ktm 450 I rode”. He was riding the 60 hp version tuned down to 90% max- he was also able to tune the engine braking. I think they were all on the 60hp bike? One guy said the word “fast “ like 8 times in another review. Now the gas babies will cry foul and whine about electric cheaters. Lol. If your gas is all that? What’s up?
the guy on vital was also a vet beginner, so...
@@blubug768 those are the guys I want to hear from- everyday riders , testers thus far- higher level as well were impressed with the speed- impressive especially if they were all riding the 60hp.
Does anyone know if there is a way to invest or buy stocks of that company?
Total complete piece of crap! That’s not a dirt bike. It’s an electric bicycle.
This company won’t last, the big manufacturers will buy the tech, and brands will stay the same
Has anyone else wondered if Triumps dirt bikes will be electric? I mean doesn't it seem crazy to invest in ICE motors when the electric thing is right around the corner? They are pretty tight lipped about it, makes ya wonder.
They will be gas from what I have heard.
AJ will be upset with you for taking your feet off the pegs....
The Varg is definitely an affordable beast, it's not some sort of exotic price unobtainable machine, it's just a touch more expensive than a 450 making it real hard to justify hating on it if it is truly that good and has no maintenance to deal with
Dude i made a run at turning pro i have the talent an skills from ridingv70 hours a week...but i was going to the gym 5 days a week working 5 days a week racing 3 days a week practice one day..what is that 19 days i was squeezing in a 7 days week...i was falling a sleep on the start line...i said oh this is enuf...too much alone...the normal person aint gonna do that to ride a 450 f an 250f...
Listen, unless they make some batteries that fkn last. I'll stick to petro
The f-bomber...he's the worst.
all the riders they sent still looked slow lol
