I actually recommend with bioactive setups to remove the top layer of the soil and replace it about once every 6 months because the water compresses it and causes it to become like peat if there's no isopods/springtails. It causes the tank to flood

I’m liking the tiger stripe theme it has going for it. I’d say name it Bengal if it wasn’t for planning on naming my Tiger Salamander that. Maybe Sumatran/Sumatra? There’s only 300 actual Sumatran tigers. 😬
I didn't see if you had a false bottom or not but it's helpful with a bioactive setup. I like to use a little crushed charcoal/horticultural charcoal mixed in the soil. If you want to keep the moss DO NOT use isopods. They will eat it all. Springtails would be great for your setup. My question to you is... If a person had experience with New Caldonian Geckos would this be an ok first snake? I don't have plans to get a snake now but in the next couple of years I could see adding one and the fact that its temp/humidity requirements are the same as my geckos is very appealing.
The biggest issue with these guys is temperature control. If you keep keep it at 80ish and humidity semi-high, youll be fine. You could run some test exercises on an empty enclosure.
