She’s sooooo tiny ,and he’s so tall she goes just under his shoulders, so cute the both of them, love your tiny home hope you have a good life together best of luck .
I actually got to meet these two in mid-May when they were passing through Mono County, California. They are super chill and gave me a tour of the inside. I’m glad to see they’ve made it to Bend!
I love how the design and decor represents your personalities instead of what people think is "trendy". It has soul. Hope she is still holding up great!
OMG I love you guys! I'm an old hippie & your style is legit retro. you would've fit right in with us back then. well done y'all, well done. My favorite is your self made composting toilet w/the radioactive symbol.💩 I'm not big on bathroom humor but that's funny/cute. Humor helps 2 people & a dog living in small space on the road. Your rig reminds me of one belonged to carnies back in early 70s. They didn't have a dog but dogs are a necessity of life. Have good lives!
Seen hundreds of tiny houses, vans, skoolies - first time I really laughed out loud, with the lord of the manor sitting on the nonnegotiable throne. And: nice bus! Nice size, and well done.
Impressed with your presentation .Enjoyed how you shared the outside prior to going inside..sharing how and whom helped was very considerate.. beautiful that your sharing your thoughts and challenges. Awesome for keeping it real. Nice .... Looking forward to hearing more about your adventures.
Loved your bus, your humor and your vibe in general. And as a Belgian, I want to give a thumb up to the lady for her accent. We french speaking people can have a pretty hard time with that ;-) Safe and happy travels to the both of you
I’ve only ever seen a manual water pump sink like that in France so I feel like that influence has come through here! Really cute overall and I LOVE the hand-sewing! Magnifique♥️
Wowzer a man that’s secure enough to apologize out loud! Cute scoot. I’d like the wood stove big enough for sizable wood chunks. Airtight Franklin stove kept us warm in two houses.
You two are great! I love your conversion. It is so open and fresh. I am just starting....and...I laughed about the comments about the kids. The bathroom and the stove are a must for me, but how do you bathe? You compliment each other. Hope to see more of you. By the way, I am 70, and I just enjoyed you both. Take Care...Gods Speed to your adventures:)
I own a silver bullet which I’m currently doing up. She’s a 16/2 Australian airstream. So lately I’ve been having my doubts about wanting to live in her full time. I originally wanted to have a 24 foot gooseneck. But now I’m really loving the bus idea and since I’m from the 60/70’s era. I’m definitely loving the rustic bohemian feel. Awesome video guys. Cheers.. 🍃☮️🍃Out…
I’m embarrassed to say how many times I’ve watched this video 😅 I just love this home and couple. We just bought our bus and the excitement has worn down now that it’s time to do the actual work. The aesthetic of their bus is what we’re also going for, and their words of encouragement during the interview was very motivating. Well done, see y’all on the road!
I knew from her accent that she was French! Love the Bonne Maman jars for spices (beautiful French touch) and love the van. Tout simplement magnifique !
Not sure how I missed this when it came out. I absolutely love the rustic decor of this bus. Loved how you did the toilet and also the wood stove. What a perfect home.
This video is like a little movie.... wonderful leading couple...as I'm 62 I feel more young people who can not afford a good vehicle and rent...might be able to go this....a way for campgrounds on our area to make some income in winter....
A wood burner is great because the sun doesn't always shine and shore power or propane are not always readily available. So in an emergency situation, you only need to find some 1+ year old dead wood to stay warm. Plus the ambience a wood fire provides is hard to beat!
Hi Tiphaine and Matt Last March, we watched your video and became more convinced that Skoolie life was for us. We are so impressed with your School Bus Conversion. We're into our 3rd month with a 40 foot Freightliner, partially converted and we're having so much fun with this. You guys have great ideas. Hope we see you on the road some day. Craig and Rosalie
I love your build and use of upcycled/thrifted materials. As an avid thrifter planning my own conversion, whenever I see something I think I can repurpose for my build, I pick it up and store it away. I laughed out loud several times during the tour as many of the things you have used such as the Mexican tiles, denim, leather strips, composting toilet components, copper pipe/fittings and even the steer horns can be found in my collection. Judging by how nice your build turned out, I guess I am on the right track!
Thank you for the tour. Love the fact that you guys were very honest about everything not being perfect. But it works for you. Great job! Matt has a wonderful sense of humor.
I like everything you did with your bus. You've really got me excited about doing this now. I've seen a few decorating schemes that have captured my attention, but what you have done is more or less who I am. Your non-negociables are mine as well, and I would add live edge to that list. I like the bus itself as well. The windows appeal, and the dimensions are more to my liking generally. I'm just starting to look, though. In fact, I was looking at buses online just this morning that were in the neighborhood of 7k, so I really appreciate that you added the price tag information at the end. I had been wondering about overall initial cost. I guess I'm just fascinated that your decorating style so closely approximates mine. The only thing I will add is a bit of a copy-cat of something my older sister did in their home. On their downstairs bathroom door was a little brass sign reading "La Nécessité." On my little bus-turned-home toilet door will be a sign reading "La Biblioteca Pequeña." I don't want to be a complete copy-cat. lol
you gave me tons of encouragement - working on my own Shuttle bus and really stuck with the electrical - trying to make the original system work with some modifications - just trying to work out a trade now..thanks for the good wisdom at the end!
Don’t be afraid to ask for help!! And yes trading skills with other people helps a lot and can save you a bunch of money! Excited for you and your project :)
I love it when people DIY and its not quite perfect. So mu h more homely and authentic. I love your bus it looks so homely. Best wishes all the way from New Zealand.
I love this bus. It's shabby chic and wonderful. My cuppa tea, definitely, as am into vintage! Adore the tiles and stove. Very well done for making it a lovely home. Happy travels!
They have a nice little bus there really it looks like a home. I got some ideas from them thank you stay safe stay strong stay healthy God bless and enjoy life .✌💖💪👨🍳🎅🚌👍
Is really nice for how diy it is. A lot of van building is really professional and kinda make it hard for normal people see how would work for ourselves
Not only do I really dig this bus, I also really dig these people
Thank you!!! :))
I completely agree! ❤️
Sooo agree 😁
@@tiphainetoudret1553 I love your bus, job well done
@@dolorespeak773 Thank you so much 🙏🧡
She keeps saying it's not perfect, but that's what makes it so awesome. Who wants perfect?
You are SO RIGHT!! It’s not technically perfect but it’s ours and we absolutely love it 🙏🧡
We always want to better our space. I cannot wait to see what she builds.

And: nice bus! Nice size, and well done.
Hahaha Matt is pretty funny!! Thank you!!
Yes...that throne room looks pretty cosy too!
I like the tile accents coming in the door and as a backsplash for the stoves. You are such a nice couple!
Thank you so much 🧡

Such a cool story. It's wonky...
Thank you!! Building a bus is no joke haha Thank you very much for your kind words :))
Bon Voyage to both of you- thx for sharing your welcoming home with us🌎🙏🏽
Love the paint job. Color and all. Didn’t notice the “ridiculous” stove pipe until you mentioned it. 🤣 Tastefully done. Good job you guys. Inspiring!
Thank you!! The stove pipe is so ridiculous 😂 but we love it!!!
I think the stove pipe just adds to the character...like a children's story!

What a beautiful little home! I'm surprised at how much larger it actually seems inside. Very nice! Happy traveling!! 🚎💖🚎💖
Thank you! Yes it’s very spacious :))
I think the wood stove is the perfect size! Everything looks great guys!
i love the basic functionality of this and think the non-reliance on power for water and heat is such a great idea
