Chill the nitrous bottle in the freezer before filling. I've filled many bottles over the years, the shop that I worked at specialized in nitrous. Often times the bottle will fill to full by just chilling it first. We had a deep freezer for that purpose.
Gday Tom , you need to install. Ball valve on each end of that set up. That way you aren’t wasting giggle gas. Once both ends of the hose gets disconnected you can put it away in your gas bottle cage keeping it safe. When you hook up the next time your hose is purged from your last use. It’s a shame to waste good gas. Hope that makes sense for you.

If you guys put the NOs bottles in the freezer it will help you fill them to the proper fill level

How about a screw blown Noonan hemi? They go alright😅
I am not a nitrous expert, but you will need that pump as your master bottle goes down and also on hot days. Some guys freeze the small bottle to help it flow. The only other tip that I have is to watch your pressure at the track. Depending on how cool the weather is, you may need to buy the bottle heaters. I am in Michigan also and with our temperature changes on cool nights my full bottle in the car would drop well below 1000 PSI and drop the power off quickly. Just my 2 cents. Also turn the mother bottle on first then crack the line at the receiving bottle with the valve off until liquid nitrous comes out. Tighten fitting then open receiving bottle and fill, otherwise it's filling first with gaseous nitrous first. You want as much liquid nitrous as possible in the bottle.

High pressure coolant caps are used to stop localized boiling of coolant in the cylinder heads. The thermostat also acts as a restriction to provide higher dynamic pressure too.

Yep the problem is the MORE PARTS ENGINE. It needs a good SMX or SML in it. If you want to go Mopar go to INDY Engines
Get rid of that POS Blowparts junk engine.
Pretty sure he has to stick with the late model hemi as it's kind of a sponsorship vehicle from Mopar. Wouldn't show well at events and races with someone else's engine.
Needs a 5.7 hemi with a blower and good internals all the hellcat engines blow up when your throwing more power at it

chill the bottles before filling creates a negative pressure inside the bottle and will help the filling process
You struggled less with the stator than homie did with the tape measure.

nitrous fills best with the little bottle cold we use the freezer the night before and fill em in the cold morning works great
No point. If you have a fill pump. I fill nitrous bottles almost daily, while the customer waits.

We put a ball valve on the line by the bottles you are filling, after we filled all of the bottles, we drained the lines.
If you freeze the empty you can just do transfer. The pump will top it off, even the weight of the line will alter the total weight you may have to go over a little , good luck

Late but the best way to fill the nos bottle is get the bottle cold just like c02 just a welder and race guy.
When you get close to your bottle weight shut off your mother tank and let the pump run a bit longer. It empties out your lines a bit more and wastes less precious gas. It works, ive filled bottles for decades.
Should install a ticket holder like in a restaurant, slick way to hold onto time slips??
If I was refilling those bottles. Id write on the bottle what the total weight is when full. That way you just put it on the scale and fill until that weight is reached.
Make sure you put the correct filter in. Or just clean that filter. It's a screen style filter. Don't put a felt filter. It will not suck enough fluid thru it.

Put the bottle in an ice bath remove just like refrigerant directly is the same as the refrigerant refrigerant will always migrate to the coldest place. We will have lower pressure if you put the bottle in a bow with ice water it’ll fill quickly or if you chill the bottle in the fridge raider before you start to see to do is get a little deep freezer that people use in their house and fill them leave the bottles in there and then fill it in there and take it out to finish it off wet
I do Refrigeration for a living and if you look up nitrous at atmosphere, it’s -128° coming out of that hose when you crack it

Were the NOS bottles purged before you got them? If they weren’t, your concentration will be off.
Nitrous filling stations are overrated.... Just freeze the small tank and the pressure difference will fill the bottles quickly.
I'd love to see an SML in it but I think theres some mopar support behind this build, and thats why they keep trying with the gen 3

Do you need a pump to build pressure because after a little while it will equalize you won’t be able to move it into the nitrous bottle. That pump is basically like a recovery machine so if you try to recover gas from any refrigerated unit after a couple minutes of legalize and you can’t move it anymore so you need a recovery machine to force the guys into the recovery cylinder to get it out of the unit because once you equalizes, you cannot move any refrigerant, very painful to watch. I mean watch a video on TH-cam Eliseo some idea what you’re doing
It froze because you have a liquid boiling off and do a vapor no different than an evaporator in your air conditioner evaporator in a freezer evaporator in the refrigerator you’re taking liquid and you’re dropping it to a lower pressure we’re just gonna make it flash into a vapor that’s why it froze the tank do you want the tank frozen? It’ll make liquid move faster.

Cause up north it is 40 degrees in the morning and 65 by afternoon. No reason to turn the heat on. Just what you do in the northern middle states. Im 1 state over. I do the same in my shop. In the morning and at night ya need a hoodie and a beanie but on a sunny day your running a t shirt in the middle of the day.
that Durango has been a problem child since you built it. from what i have been seeing about the hemi you run them hard like you are you will never keep head gaskets in it. maybe take it to Steve and see if he can find a way to put extra head bolts in it somewhere. i like everything you do but this Dang Go i am getting where i dont even care to watch it.

Maybe put a Coyote motor in it and get someone to make you some custom mopar performance valve covers for it and all the problems will disappear.
"Problems" in the real world is spelled "MOPAR". Many good designs but they tended to take all Fords and Chevy's mistakes and build a vehicle.
