Wise words from the old dog eh, yeah i'm putting a message to Agco Corp about this, how they're screw up cost me $8,000 and 4 months without a machine and loads of stress, i'll try keep it PG
Afternoon Doug, Raining here in south central Fife, Scotland today...some farms are cutting winter barley here, England has been 'on the go for a couple of weeks. Barley outside tha back of our place (organic) is coming along great...Tatties out the front. They've been spraying that field every Wednesday recently. Aye, farm machinery always costs unless its under warranty and even then...good that red tractor managed a load of bales before the tyres went...thats life you got your moneys worth out of them in the end. Keep your chin up (unless your in a bar brawl) you do amazing stuff and work wonders, like all the farmer mates I have..GRAFTERS everyone of them.. Be safe and see you again soon.
Thanks bud, yeah crops are starting to turn over here too, and yeah the old red guy was tired probably 3 owners ago but he's earned a pretty good make over, take care
That is funny. You’d think John Deere would engineer away from using powder. The bills can sure chew a guy up for sure during haying. Crazy how expensive parts are. I hire some of my fixing out, just don’t always have time to fix it myself. Only so many days of summer.
Yeah, doing high moisture haylage gets a bit stressful for sure, now i will say these bearings last way longer than the CNH Chinessium bearings do, and yeah i'm learning that even stuff i probably can do if i'm swamped JUST PAY A DANG PROFESSIONAL haha
Good morning, Mr. and Mrs. Piper Doug. You're better off with a few maintenance bills than crippling finance on new machinery. I dont mind if videos are short or long. 👍
Hey bud, yeah we used to be the other way when we grain farmed but when you calculated interest on top of sticker price and new stuff still broke down and left you stranded when you need it most i'd far rather pay local wages and pay cash for less gizmos, Well thanks for visiting the ranch
Did not know JD balers needed their bottoms powdered. Machinery always costs. We find that all batteries die together as do tires. The new tires will not last like old ones, especially if used in manure. We always said a old well maintained tractor is always cheaper than a newer one that has been road hard. I like the short video because I have senior attention deficit but whatever works best for you is just great.
Hahaha, yup id far rather pay a shop repair bills than interest payments and have multiple old dependable rigs, new stuff will still leave ya stranded on a sunday. We'll give this new format a run for a while n see if i can keep on target, lol
Whatever you toss up for videos is great Doug 👍 I'm not far from a mental meltdown somedays, somehow I just walk away and sometimes sailor language comes out🤬 I'm right there with ya on wanting things to go smooth enough to get done..... maybe someday 😊
@@burrridgefarms I’m quick with the sailor language. 🤣👍. Even newer stuff has its breakdowns……….. but I’m finding it’s less often. I’m not covered in grease and oil everyday.
@@burrridgefarms I hear ya………. time and place for everything. If I didn’t swear, I’m sure I’d become an alcoholic instead, so swearing is cheaper and healthier too. 🤣👍🍻🍺🥃🥃🍺
@@chadtosh6831 There's the truth, we had a whole line of brandnew NH and had lots of issues, now i didnt have to fix that but lots of down time waiting on replacement units and arguing with whats warranty and whats covered tho
Thanks bud, yeah and everyone i talk to is in the trenches this season more than usual, i swear by the supplement i'm taking to get through the tougher days for sure, could always be worse.......could be Justin Trudeau eh, lol
I quite enjoy listening to you and your thoughts of what your daily challenges are, wether 1 video or more, whatever works for you I’m glad to check in and watch
Good morning Doug ☕☕☕
Keep your powder dry, your tires full, and keep going....
Updates should always be able to be seen easily!!
