Great Video Concept. My 1 underrated character is Cici Cooper from Scream 2. I mean Horror royalty in SMG. I really enjoyed her suspenseful scene & death but I feel she could have been utilised way more in the 2nd film. I also agree with Laura from Scream VI. When I heard Samara Weaving was in the film I wanted her to be the 1st solo female Ghostface so bad! She is an unreal actress and she nailed her performance as Laura. Very memorable opening kill. The brunette sorority sister from Scream 2 is played by Rebecca Gayheart who is unreal in Urban Legend. You should watch that if you haven't seen it. The sorority sisters should have been in Scream 2 more for me. 👍
It’s ironic that the sorority sisters from Scream 2 are played by some pretty notable people, the blonde is Portia de Rossi (aka Ellen DeGeneres’ wife) and the curly haired girl is Rebecca Gayheart (Aka Brenda from Urban Legend and Julie from Jawbreaker, love her). I really wish they were like later kills, maybe the killer kills them sometime between hazing Derek and the reveal, maybe before Hallie is killed. Also, on Hallie, I hated she died like that. I actually wish that in the film, they kept that script where she was a killer and have her kill Mickey at the theater (he being the fall guy for her) and she and Mrs. Loomis be the killers. And back to Rebecca, since she’s from Kentucky (and she used a little southern twang in Urban Legend), I wish they would have made her have a southern accent (especially since 2 takes place on Ohio). Portia’s character is named Murphy and Rebecca’s character’s named Lois. And I feel sad for most the Scream 5 characters, the ones that died, because that film just had a script of non-characters. I know they actually changed the script and I think most those characters were gutted (pun intended) of being actual people. And it also ruined the film, because I predicted that Amber was a killer like 20 minutes into the movie, because she was unreasonably odd and rude for no reason. I definitely think Liv (which they should have renamed her to Ashley, because there was an Olivia (Liv is short for that name) in scream 4) should have been played up more unhinged, like maybe she’s a little callus to the deaths. I think Amber should have been by Tara’s side most the time, so when she’s attacked, it takes suspicion off Amber. I think Wes should have been attacked later on, maybe getting ready for the party while his mom is dead in like the basement. And I think it would have helped to have a couple more early kill characters as well. And I’m sorry for people who love 5, but Scream 5 is the worst. Like it’s well acted and has great actors, but the script is the weakest, half the kills are boring (and they actually changed at least one kill that sounded way better in the original script), and I felt that it’s overrated honestly, especially since 3 gets the most hate, despite it was just hit left and right by world events that made them change the film (as I do think 5 was as well, which I think Covid played a part in).
My idea for Scream 6, that actually made sense and was more plausible than they all just happened to move to New York together, was that they were all invited to New York to film a true crime series produced and interviewed by Gale and produced by Joel, and it would feature other survivors of the previous 4 movies and then ghostface appears blah blah blah
so glad to see Sarah Darling on this list cause lowkey she has SO much fight. She's one of the very few characters to pick up weapons and try to fight back, it's not her fault everything she picked up turned out to be fake! But if they weren't fake she could've legit had a chance to kill ghost face with the fight she was putting up, or at LEAST escape. She's alot smarter than she gets credit for. That all the weapons she grabs are fake is part of the irony/comedy/tragedy of her death!
Fun fact in the first script of scream 5 in the first scene where we get to meet all the teen characters together where they talking about Vince when amber comments about liv saying he worked with her and Tara after they go to the hospital liv stays behind to confront Vince about where he was last night I feel like they shouldn’t have cut it out but that’s why she stays behind 🤷🏻
That line was funny in Scream 2 from Joel: What're you, gutted, slashed, the point is, the guy ain't in the UNION anymore(!)
