My husband was SOO involved with planning the wedding from the very beginning. He wanted to apart of it every step of the way. I guess I’m lucky and he’s rare 😉 🤗
My boyfriend is the same too! He said when we get engaged he’s going to be very involved in the planning.

Yeah, I felt the same after our wedding. When I dont have something to look forward to I feel bleh. So I like to make things a project so that I have that anticipation.

I never thought I'd be that bride... But I am so stressed trying to figure out planning my covid wedding in December. My bridesmaids ask me how they can help but I'm so stressed I literally don't know. Thankfully I have a friend who is helping me coordinate but it still feels like so much. I'm just glad I'm not alone in the stress lol. Please pray for me 😅💕

Try earplugs if you are struggling with noise/snoring! My husband and I struggled with this also and earplugs have helped me a bunch ❤️

THANK YOU for saying it’s hard to part with your last name!! I’ve been struggling with changing my name. I am taking my husbands name but it’s been more difficult than I thought and It’s so nice hearing that I’m not alone in that
I’m not from the U.S. and in my culture, taking a husbands last name is not something that we do. I actually don’t personally know anyone that has done that and it’s very strange when I see other women wanting to. The tradition of taking a husband’s last name stems from the fact that women were properties and when they got married that ownership was passed from their father to their husband. It was purely transactional. From that point on, she and everything that was hers would belong to her husband. Now, the idea of what marriage is has shifted. Among other things, it’s a partnership, where each individual belongs to God and themselves and they chose to share their lives with each other. Taking someones last name doesn’t determine how much love, respect or admiration one has for that person. It isn’t something that women should feel obligated to do. A lot of women want to do it and it can be a beautiful thing and a lot of other women choose not to do it and it’s a very beautiful thing as well. There can be empowerment in keeping your name. You are your own person and you come from a specific place and family, there is no need for you to erase that and legally change that name. You can start your own family with your husband without doing so. My point is that taking a husbands last name is a choice and if you are struggling with that choice, you really don’t have to do it. It doesn’t make you a better more committed wife and deciding to do it or not definitely shouldn’t be taken as a sign or measurement of the love and respect that is shared in the relationship.

I was thinking bout asking my my groomsman to not have Smurf blue hair he been dying for years but we having a purple gray wedding. For me it rare to see fam and just like have a nice photo of my so-called fam his mother says it be rude to change him I was shocked that I’m rude when I had no idea hair dye neon colored was an identity
Would you recommend hiring a wedding planner or delegate bridesmaids?
As someone who just got married Saturday, I would recommend a wedding planner if you can budget it. Huge stress relief!

About the handle comment you made at the beginning my 2 cents is go on and change the IG and TH-cam to Kian Wolfgang! Letting go of the last name is scary but doing so and taking on the new one is a beautiful way to symbolize 2 becoming one in and you submitting to Kyle in marriage! :) But of COURSE overall you do you boo, and even pray about if you're super distressed and the Lord will give you peace on what to do. :)
I want to be respectful while I ask this. Why do women have to change their names? Why is it just women "submitting" themselves to their husbands? Why not submit to each other, and if so why do only women change their names? Does God love men more or do people think men love and know God more?
Why did you do so many DIYS but pay so much for the wedding? Just curious as to why you spent a lot of money but still had to do so much planning?
Most of the DIYs were for decorations, which did save us money. However you can't necessarily DIY the bigger expenses such as catering, bar, venue, rentals, etc. Those are all things that cost thousands of dollars and add up quickly! Just our venue and catering made up 50% of what we spent.

How much did you spend on your wedding dress. Same! I've always thought I would just go to the courthouse and then dinner after with family. I would probably hire a photographer for a photo shoot as well, just so I had some good pictures
