Peruvian Flavors Surprising Nuri?
Peru is the land of gastronomy. Peruvian food has been recognized time and again by the world’s most prestigious travel and food organizations. Thanks to its diverse terrain and climate, Peru has an abundance of ingredients that can be used for food. Also, Peru is known as the birthplace of the potato. In addition, culinary influences of immigrants from Spain, Italy, Japan, China and other countries have made Peruvian flavors more abundant. On “Diplomat Talks - Nuri's Day of Diplomacy,” a series showing Nuri's on-the-ground coverage of diplomacy, this week, Nuri visited the Korea-Peru Food Culture Exchange Exhibition held to celebrate the 60th anniversary of bilateral relations. She also visited the Peruvian ambassador to Seoul’s residence to taste a variety of Peruvian dishes and even made some herself.

미식의 나라, 페루. 세계적으로 권위있는 여행, 음식 관련 단체에서 페루 음식은 여러 차례 그 매력을 인정받았다.
페루는 다양한 지형과 기후 덕분에 풍부한 식재료를 얻을 수 있다. 특히 페루는 감자의 종주국으로도 알려져 있다.
이와 더불어 스페인, 이탈리아, 일본, 중국 등 여러 나라에서 유입된 이민자들의 식문화가 더해지면서 페루 음식은 더욱 풍성해졌다. 나누리 피디가 발로 뛰며 알아본 다양한 외교가 소식을 전하는 ‘디플로맷 토크 - 나누리 피디의 매우 외교적인 하루’. 이번 주에는 나피디가 한국과 페루의 수교 60주년을 맞이 개최된 한-페루 음식문화교류전에 다녀왔다. 이어서 주한 페루 대사 관저를 방문한 나피디는 다채로운 페루 음식을 맛보고 직접 만들어 보기도 했다.
