Funny, I'm moving house and I viewed a house with a bit of countryside on the one side and the first thing I noticed was the noise from the crows in the trees. Was lovely.
Great stuff..know exactly what you mean live next to the Argyle forest on Loch Fyne teaming with birds and wildlife ..tend tae forget in towns and cities what it’s like..nature is nurture !
Thank you for this message Woodlander! I couldn't agree more. Its a pleasant 28 degrees where I'm at in Australia, although I must say I much prefer the cold given how unbearable summers can be. Stay warm
Thank you Simon, It's always lovely when you pop up on a video. I instantly smile and I bet every one else here does as well 🙂 beautiful, healthy and happy best wishes to your self and your family and all here 🌳🌺
Cheers Woody, l needed to hear that. Too much doom n gloom over the last years have taken their toll. I'm cutting back on the fear porn for a while and regenerate. Hopefully not like Dr Who. On the bright side, with that birch tree down, you have plenty of fire wood for next winter 😆👍🏻
I prefer it cool and fresh with a bright low winter sun. Summer is too hot to do much. So nice to hear those woodlands birds. Thanks for the brief treat ✨🫶🏻✨ Eyes peeled for Tuesday 👍🏼
You are so right. It is difficult to stay upbeat sometimes, getting out for me is rather difficult.... but do it whenever I can Its always a blessing. I love the bird song......I so miss my garden and the sea.
I’m glad none of your birds got injured when the tree fell!! 😮💨 That is a perfect day. Meanwhile we’re in the negatives across the pond 🤣 So I’ll enjoy the weather vicariously through you.
I agree. I honestly spend months without going outside at all with the exception of driving to the shops and errands (because of work). Sometimes you just need to get outside and have a 10 min walk without distractions. It makes a huge difference.
Have a great Sunday Simon, looks beautiful there, it’s nice here to, I’m just pottering about and catching up on a few Sunday jobs, will walk the dog later to. Looking forward to what this years got to bring brother, look forward to catching up soon mate. 🏴
Good to see parts of your spot, nicely set up, Simon. And great that your plastic veggie tents (mostly) survived that ferocious wind. Mine was wrecked. The cover is still stuck on a pike attached to my garage and some of the structure snapped and needs dismantling. I gave it a valiant attempt.
I think people spend too much time these days wondering and worrying about things that may or may not come to be. They’re wrapped up in their fears, in a proverbial chicken little mindset. The sky is falling. Now it’s always good to know what is going on, but not healthy to dread on them.
A ditch or french drain along the road/wet spots might be worth a thought , the spoil can be used to raise the height of the road while simultaneously dropping the height of the water table...... just adding stone is like treating the symptoms rather than curing the disease 🤔
It's a weird landscape where I live. Go a mile one way, and it's moors, woods, n rolling hills as far as the eye can see, go a mile the other, n it's basically Islamabad. A very drastic contrast indeed 😒😂 As bad as it is though, there's still plenty of beauty left on OUR island, n especially in Yorkshire ❤💪🏻😁 Cheers woodlander, topman 👍🏻
I would suspect so. There's a lot of woodland around me that's very similar to Woody's homestead and there's always plenty of muntjac and Chinese water deer running around.
Nice . Its so important to take time to just "be" , walk potter about or just sit. ( after all we're human beings not human doings 😂) Difficult at times in this day and age . 👍🏕
"If you can hear the birds sing, you are in the right place".
Certainly mate.
Absolutely...

It's a pleasant surprise to visit and walk in your woods on this crisp Sunday morning.Thank you Woodlander!❤️🌲❤️
I do enjoy my bush orchestra 🦅 that’s a sweet symphony in your woodland 🍀♥️🎶🎵
Cheers Simon. You lucky sod being where you are. All the best.

Many thanks brother. Love hearing the birds 👏🏻
Walking in the countryside each weekend is the thing that resets my determination for following week, simple but powerful medicine🙏

Grabbed a walk this morning. Saw the sun come up. Saw a kingfisher too.

How wonderful. Compared to the large town I live in, this looks like peace on earth....I'm planning my escape route don't worry 🤣
Great looking place Woodlander, shame about the tree.
I love birdsong. Happy Sunday Simon.
We had a tree come down on a car outside my block with those high winds. Someone got taken away in an ambulance.
May the Gods smile on you and yours brother.
Make time save time while time lasts, all time is no time when time is past.
How lovely a walk in the Woods. Thank you for the trip down the country lane. I feel invigorated! 😊❤
Cheers susan
Thank you for the little walk round Simon, can't beat sunshine in nature
Hi dave, hope you and the wife are both well mate
Cool video ..

I've had a few fly through the woods.. such a pain in the arse..
Good morning brother it's a balmy - 25 degrees celcius here
Is that 25 or -25... lol
Where are you ??
-18*C here in flyover country too, but just a dusting of snow. The windchill was a tad brisk on our pre-dawn walk 😂
Not a bad day here in Dublin either ,there's a scent of promise in the air this year would anyone agree?
Shame about the birch. Hope the silkies are okay.
Good to see you again mate, you have a good Sunday 👍
Nice to seenyou old bag.. hope you're well mate

It's an "ongoing" job.... like 10 years..lol
Weekend on a mini digger should speed things along

Lovely ❤
Have any/many deer around the homestead?
I would suspect so. There's a lot of woodland around me that's very similar to Woody's homestead and there's always plenty of muntjac and Chinese water deer running around.
Plenty.. quite tame as well, very agile, although a lot of the woods is fenced off, they clear them easily.
Great to see you posting again.
It was Gonzalo Lira that brought me to your channel. Not sure if you were affiliated.
Gonzalo was kind enough to share a few of my videos, he will be missed.
❤
Looks ideal. Wow. You have no gate on the plot? Do you have an open (outside the woods) area for growing veg?
💜🔥🍷
we started with nothing then made it into something
That's our story
So where was the bit where you lost your phone! 😁😁
Mate... please don't remind me
Muddy Woody.
It's in a natural dip, it'll take around 20 ton to level it... its on the list.
Are you not worried about any of those trees coming down on your cabin ?
Nope, pretty well got that covered, all except one large oak branch, which will be coming down in the spring.
Nice . Its so important to take time to just "be" , walk potter about or just sit. ( after all we're human beings not human doings 😂)
Difficult at times in this day and age . 👍🏕
