They really were. I was lucky enough to see the 3 piece twice. T in The Park 99 and the Barrowlands 98/97 not so sure - so much power and energy

Nothing beats a good power trio. It’s sad that after this they went for a more “professional” sound and hired additional guitar players for the shows. Understandable because the songs became more layered, but nothing beats the rawness and energy of the first two albums.
I discovered Placebo with this particular show.
The androgynous aura got me since the very first minute.
Incredible execution of the music.
When I first heard Teenaged Angst on this performance, that's when Placebo had me. That song and its performance here is so emotional and heart felt. I just wished it was like this on CD . I love them. I've been enjoying their music since the year 2000.

Enjoy it a little extra for me. I wish I could go, but I can't, there's just no way I could make it to Texas or New York or afford the tickets in the first place. I've wanted to see them for a very long time too. So, enjoy it a little harder for me.

Cheers for the upload, thought I'd never see it again, as I taped it that night, but somehow lost it. Such happier times and such a better Placebo back then - the old stuff and no multiple backing members (Bill gets a pass though!). With the passage of time, it gets more and more ridiculous how short little gigs or docus like this, of not exactly huge bands, would be broadcast on mainstream TV back then.

слушала placebo в 15, сейчас мне 27 и их музыка отправляет меня обратно в мои 15. Машина времени. Обожаю ранние placebo потому что именно они ассоциируются в детством и подростковыми переживаниями. Брат принес на флешке в году так в 2006(7) разные песни, там было пять песен placebo: every me every you, pure morning, one of a kind, the bitter end, meds. Эти песни были просто заслушаны. До сих пор любимые.
