- We have an emergency! No Rescue Rangers have officially raced here at SRC. We need to make a call to get some first responders lined up and ready to compete.
Lucky for us we had 16 answer the call. Who will be the fastest? We will surely find out.
Will any make it into the ranks? We will find that out as well.

Love the Rescue Rangers, one of my favorite castings. Also love racing the same castings against one another, a lot of close races!
Some very close finishes in this one. That’s all you can hope for if they are not setting the track on fire, right?

Out of all the RRs ive rolled, ive never seen a metal based one....

I am not aware of any with a metal base. Unless they are plastic bodied, of course.

@@ElevationDiecastRacing I cracked my two plastic body RR’s for this race on the off chance that they might do better in a lighter weight division. Pure trash. Not even worth wheel farming them.

I try my best, thank you. There was some very close racing amongst them even if they didn’t make it far in the ranks.
To have one even get into the gatekeeper spot surprised me.
A lot of really close races not a lot of speed but they sure are consistent👍
When they can keep from doing the wiggles, they do run fairly consistent. I was hoping for better as far as getting them in the ranks. Cross this one off my list for good!

They carry some good weight, for sure. Unfortunately it is in all the wrong places. Many of them do the schwimmy going down track.
Great racing, Brandon! I really like how you can take a bunch of tiny cars with the same casting, albeit with different colors and wheels, and make it interesting.😎
A couple of times they hit low 2.260’s. Not bad.👍🏼

That's lot of Rangers, good stuff. I have few also, it's kind of interesting casting because of decent weight even with plastic base. And I guess there's gotta be fast one out there.
If there is a fast one out there, it will have to be found by someone else!

Myself just beat me to it. I do not have 16 though. I like the 70’s looking front end reminds me of the old Emergency show. I wonder how they would mod?
I have modded a few early on when my building experience was low. I used the metal bases on the plastic bodied version and put them under the metal bodies. They were not very great. Had a tendency to swim just like the stock ones do.
By all means, give it a try, tho!
How long is you track??
From the start pins to the finish line, 21’. I am a touch longer than true 1/4 mile (which would be 20.6’ or 20’ 7”)
i never liked the rescue rangers. Until I saw YNR racing them. So, the out comes here would mimic the round 5 spoke fastests, and ditto at my track. I would have liked to see a token blackwall . It would give up alot, bad axles and smaller wheels. The Later Rescue rangers are the best.
Same here. Bo had a few in his ranks that led me to get my hands on what you saw here. At least they can be had relatively cheap.
No RR sniff the ranks now. Like many unicorns, Red Pill had a fast one beating GHO's at D64
