Thank you very much for your compliments. I use a variety of different software including photoshop, illustrator, HTML5, Final Cut, GarageBand and a few other products. Each video takes me a long time to create. My rule of thumb is each minute of video takes about 12 hours to create, so a 7 minute video takes me about 84 hours of development time.
And then one can conclude there is a clear positive relationship between the time spent on each video (independent variable) and its quality (dependent variable). Thank you for putting the time and effort into this wonderful piece of work!
This presentation is literally better quality online education material than what is used at some accredited universities... and it is free. Well done.
F is named after guy who invented Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The purpose of ANOVA is to compare more than two groups. You could use t statistics to compare two groups. I have an entire playlist on ANOVA and I add a link to the playlist in this video description.
Wow! Thank you very much and your feedback is much appreciated. I also appreciate you spreading the word and letting the other lecturers know about the videos. Good luck in your studies as well.
Oh my god, thank you so much for your videos. I am a medical doctor, doing post graduate exams which include statistics, which I haven't done since back in college years ago. Your videos are amazing and simple, thank you... Really helped me to get on track.
You are indeed amazing sir / professor / buddy / mentor / coach! I think 'simplifying' isn't everyone's cup of tea. Thanks a bunch, for taking all the efforts for lesser mortals like us, making statistics palatable and digestible.
Thanks so much for you feedback. This sort of feedback does inspire me to keep posting videos. I feel like I am just starting. I am getting ready to post a series of videos on SPSS and Multiple Linear Regression this weekend. Make sure you like MyBookSucks on FaceBook (see link in video description). This will help others find the educational videos.
After scrolling through all over the internet, finally found the most clear explanation video to understand regression model! As a person who has weak-math background, this videos match a lot with my understanding level. Thanks million.!
Really dedicated guy! - Taking 84 hours and providing it to the community. I mean - people who view the videos don't realize the effort until some one read this. I can relate to this.
I was so lost before I found this video. This saved me so much. Thank you for taking the time to completely break this down into terms that can be easily comprehended and at a pace that gives us time to soak up the information.
Thanks for making this. This is the best explanation on regression I have seen so far. I really appreciate the pause in between sentences. It makes things clear and helps me to digest the concept
I have elementary school level maths (it seems) and I need to reach high-school level of calculus for a new course of study and this video was recommended from MIT for the economics part of the course. I understood it! Thank you!!
That is a good question and it can be very hard sometimes. The standard error of the estimate is comparing what your regression model is predicting and the actual. I don't know if you saw the video on standard error of the estimate, but this video is part of a playlist on regression and I created a video on Standard Error of the estimate that may help you even more. You can find a link to the playlist in this videos description.
Bingo, You saved me....I was looking same explanation in so many videos but not found it as easy as you explain it in your video....Thank you very much.
David, I like the way you teach. it's amazing. your tone is very normal. Your voice is very calm and clear and you teach difficult ideas as if you are telling an interesting event of normal life.Being a teacher myself and with an experience of 20 years in IT, I have never seen such lectures. Great. Keep it up your Good work man.
I'm here after I got an assignment in codecademy to make a program that would calculate error in the linear progression after given the data. This video helped me to understand the basic concept of it which made the coding way easier. Thanks for the help!
You saved my life. I looked at my professor's convoluted 70 page PPT on this topic and couldn't grasp this topic for the life of me. I shared this playlist with several classmates.
Its so nice to hear someone speak normally, correctly, and at a natural relaxed meter and tone. No desperate overbabble punctuated with "like", "basically", and "ya know",and that annoying up-swing in voice tone that America gave the world. A pleasure to listen to and well explained, sir.
Your explanations are so clear and concise, you have made it so easy to understand, hence allowing it easier to retain in memory. So good, I'm sharing this with my son who is currently learning linear regression. Big THANK YOU!
After watching this video, my mind felt amazed, and wanted to make some comment here. But had a pause on what to write and slowly scrolled down for positive comments. And people said all. Thank you sooooo much
Thank you so much. The explanations are slow and clear. By far the best tutorial for someone who has very little clue about statistics but has to know a bit to know what is going on.
Appreciate that! I have thought for sometime now that statistics is not that hard it is just taught poorly and the resources materials suck too. Good luck in your post graduate exams too --- you can do it!
A big hug, I will look forward to that -- haha! Great to hear and I appreciate the feedback. Make sure you give me a virtual hug on (like) MyBookSucks on FaceBook (see link in video description). This will help others find the educational videos.
Good stuff, I liked the sliding scale to demonstrate the positive, negative relationship. Definitely put it in a new light. Thanks for taking the time sir.
I just started Statistics after not having done any complicated maths in nearly six years. This has made it much less daunting for me. It's simple and easy to understand and I'm actually starting to be fascinated by it. You're an absolute legend!
Appreciating the very simple example and the slowest talking like the pause in between sentences and the explanations along the animations could help me to well understand the linear regression analysis and i could make power point presentation as well. Thanks!
Fantastic. I never care to comment on videos but this time I had to. I viewed videos on Coursera, Khan Academy and other literature on internet but none explained it better. Great job!!
I am so grateful for your awesome videos I shared it in the unit blackboard at university! Hope my colleagues will enjoy them as much as I do. Cheers :-)
Thank you so much, you make statistics so much more easier than what is being taught at uni. I think you may have saved me from failing statistics. Thank you!
+Chitra Alma Great to know my videos help and you are welcome. Hopefully you will get a chance to like and share the videos. This will help other students find them.
Thanks for creating this video. I had a hard time understanding this on my class, but your video made it easier for me to get and understand it. KUDOS!!
Good to hear and good luck in your classes to. Btw, where do you go to university? Make sure you like MyBookSucks on FaceBook (see link in video description). This will help others find the educational videos.
This is one of the most beautiful stats tutorial videos. So much better than those nasty looking powerpoints and handwritten videos. Well done and thanks!!
Your videos are so simple and easy to understand; good use of the simple graphics which makes them easy to understand remember rather than loads of text data. Wonderfully done, thank you very much!!!
Thank you very much! I was trying for the past one hour to get this stuff in my head. You made it me to understand this stuff in 15 minutes! Thank you so much.
Wow this is great Sir... I am from a coding background and was looking for explanations in statistics for ML and thats what I got here. Thanks for taking efforts and making this things available for us.
And it is evident that you are passionate in teaching us, judging by the time you invest in it. I mean my lecturer would be annoyed to teach us even 1 hour of stat! XD. You are an example to all the lecturers in the world. I plan to take you as an example and show your work to my lecturers in the next student lecturer meeting :D. Keep it up!
Happy to hear the videos are helpful for you. Make sure you like MyBookSucks on FaceBook (see link in video description). It will help me spread the word to other students.
That is a good question. Covariance and Correlation are very similar. There are some slight differences between the two. I did google "Covariance and Correlation" and discovered a short wikipedia article. I can't add a link here (youtube forbids it).

Thanks for your efforts... Really love your illustrations
I appreciate
you could do this on power point in seconds...
Waw!! Thanks so much for the effort
You are very welcome! It is always good to hear that my tutorials help students. Good luck in your classes.
Appreciate the pause in between sentences so my slow brain could catch up
Too bad Microsoft doesn't make hardware.
sameee lol
No way... I had to watch at x1.5, to make it sound at normal speed.
@@rodolfoyoshii8345 no way... I had to watch at x53, to make it sound at normal speed.
I have ADD and the pauses are arguably the best part of these videos for me.
This presentation is literally better quality online education material than what is used at some accredited universities... and it is free. Well done.

Second that
Third that
I love how slow you go. You are not trying to sound super smart, so I have time to actually think. Thank you so much.
Very much agreed. I got a crash course on regression next and obviously I crashed
Professors that try to sound smart instead of trying to teach are the bane of my existence
@@King-yj2jx agreed
😅...I feel you

This is a very clear and pleasant way to refresh topics I've lost over the years, thank you!
you sir are the one and only reason to why i am going to get my bachelor's degree. thank you!
OK now time to study and work out
wtf
Arghya Chakraborty
that's what I'm talking about!
you are the one doing the studying and going for the degree, don't sell yourself short
did you get your degree?

I'm going to your next video.

you literally saved me on my final in business stats. If i ever see you you get a hug.
Wow a video created EIGHT years ago! So good.
I think this is my first comment on youtube.
Thank you for the smooth and clear explanation of this topic!

The fact this was created 9 years ago is amazing, brilliant video!

Brilliant. You directly contributed an estimated 0.001 USD to this man's income. Well done!

I don't understand why people could dislike this video, However Thank you so much it is really helpful.

This is the real fun statistics! After many years, I can understand the meaning of that formula. Thank You Sir !!!
Thank you for being slow when explaining, and animating. These are all great techniques when teaching someone else. I appreciate your teaching style!
This is an excellent introduction to regression. It has been made to be very easy to understand and well articulated. Well done!
I want to tell you that you are a good teacher and we need more videos about languages like R, SAS.
Thank you.
YOU KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN oh my god such a rare skill! thank you so much
I don't know this man is still alive or not but i really wanna to say THANKS" to him.
