Great video!! I have a website but want to get it visible to more people. Is it worth paying to have it come up on different search engine or meta tags enough?

This may be old thought, but I was always hesitant about a SS or WIX platform as the old adage was that it didn't help boost SEO. Is that an out-dated misnomer?
