  • The Onam Sadya is a traditional vegetarian feast enjoyed during the Onam festival in Kerala, India. Served on banana leaves, it includes rice, lentil curry, tangy sambar, flavorful rasam, mixed vegetable avial, various sautéed thorans, coconut-based curries like olan and kalan, sweet-sour pachadi, ginger chutney, and crispy pappadams. The meal ends with sweet payasam dessert and buttermilk. It's a communal celebration of Kerala's rich culinary heritage and is eaten by hand while seated on the floor.
