1Cor.15.20 - But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the 👉firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.
Folks there's a difference between teaching what the bible says and using the bible to support your preconceived ideology. Apostle Paul said Christ is our first fruit.
Amen and amen
Amen, in Jesus' name!!!
God richly bless you, honouring God first in everything we get.
Offering The Firstfruits
Amen!

Thanks sir. Question sir, As salary earner, must your first fruit be your salary or any money that come first in your hand first?
Thank you Pastor please I want to know if I receive my pay today Thursday and I will go to church on Sunday can't I wait till Sunday before I take my first fruit Tithes to church
Take your first fruits to your parents, they deserve it
I would love to understand how to apply this teaching in terms of salary..🙏
@ Liliane Gbotta. It has been explained well. Just listen to the sermon keenly
From my understanding you as a salary person you choose a month preferably January cos its your first depending on you you may choose to give God 70,80 ,90% of your salary
Your first salary for the year or your first increment after you've been promoted. The difference between your old and new salary.
@@allinonewithdielle3971 According to this teaching and many others if we give 90percent, it is not the first fruit. We have stolen 10 percent. We are thieves. It means ALL
Please, are tithes and first fruits mandatory ?
Someone to enlighten me please.
Shalom!
Read proverbs 3:9-10 again. God has not made it mandatory but has given us a choice of whether we want to honour him with our possessions and have his blessings or whether we want to selfishly use everything on ourselves and no blessings. God is faithful and his word is true. If he says he’ll bless, he’ll do exactly that! Have faith in Him. Giving to God and obeying him in all other areas of our lifes pleases Him.

Great.
1. But if it's not mandatory, why do some pastors threaten deacons and other leaders of the church to be dismissed for not paying tithes?
2. Why do some churches issue tithes cards for believers and use them as a monitoring or assessment tool to ascertain the faithfulness of their congregants?
Is the tithe paid to God or the church or to the Pastor?
3. NB: We don't pay tithe or offering to be blessed but to help the church carrying out its activities especially winning souls and caring for the needy.
Shalom!
Jesus is the first fruit..teaching of jesus..not wht pastor is preaching...
This question can be asked, like this: Is bathing compulsory? I will say no, but there are places you can't enter when you don't bathe 😂. But be rest assured that firstfruits is by faith
First Fruits are not Tights
Paid First Fruits: Whole paycheck. Now I feel robbed.
@cking7989
You were actually robbed
The eenemy wants you to feel robbed. You obeyed a spiritual instruction which will always be uncomfortable to the flesh. I pray that by now you will have seen the hand of God in your life. Is it easy to obey God. No. I live in Bahamas and I am walking in the obedience of this instruction also. Obedience from the heart. Let us share the ways that God shows up for us.
@@thelinkeducationalsupports2949 stop blaming everything on some enemy that is not even looking at your direction! People should give their first fruit and then Incure debt and suffer through pressure to keep up with the debt! What kind of God is that! Wisdom is far away from most of you Christians.
@@CharlesBlack-pg1ff I respect your reality if that has been your experience Charles. It has not been mine. I live a life of Faith not in man but God and He delivers, provides, and is for me a shining light that grows brighter and brighter each new day.! Sorry. Faith is a currency for me and it is how I trade in the economy in which I live.
Did you know that there is a scripture that says if you do something anything and you doubt or lack faith about its doing, then for YOU it is sin? Amazing scripture I feel. It means that each of us has a personal walk in Christ that we are to live according to his promptings in our hearts. If you receive no such prompting to do certain things, just DONT! Continue to grow in Grace, if in fact, Christ is your portion. He is more than sufficient to try the reings of your heart and find and fine you innocent of guilty.

Going to church is starting to feel like a money grab
Succinct
You did not understand the teaching. It’s about you and your trust and faith in God. Everyone giving their firstfruit and/or paying tithes and who truly understands the meaning and power behind it, will tell you that they have been abundantly blessed because of them trusting God to bless everything else in their life. It is by faith and not by force. Where your heart is there is your treasure also.
Going to the foodstore is a money grab. Going to the gas station is definitely a money grab. So I imagine it is a choice about who you will allow to "grab" your money. Except , God needs nothing from us. he is working to get us aligned so that He God can give back to us, press down shaken together and running over. This belief is born of FAITH without which it is impossible to please God. For a man must first believe that He exist and that He is a REWARDER of all those who diligently seek him. Have days of growing faith and let us pray for one another as we work out our salvation with fear and trembling before God.

Hahah. Don’t let these ignorant pastors lie to you. There are saved but super ignorant.
First fruit is not money/material things. Christ is the ‘Firstfruits’ of our faith.
1 Corinthians 15:20. ‘But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept’
It is all scam, first fruits or Tithing
To him who does not have faith for a thing is NOT FORCED to obey. You are in control of what you will do after such a teaching. Do what you choose.
Fraud
Then dont do it. Hold on to every dollar you have and some. Tell us about the results 5 years from now. (smiling) Oh, just a small testimony. I have been a tither and giver for some time. Is it logical to the natural mind? No. And yet, when I obey here are but a few things that happen to me. 1) I go to foodstores and gather my goods to pay and leave. On the line absolute strangers say to the cashier, " I will pay for her groceries" and they absolutely do. 2) I sold a car once and in the interim( less than 7 days) someone became aware that I was without a car and gave me a jeep FREE/ no strings attached...Not begged for. (4 Runner). I have opened my front door to find groceries on my porch with envelopes containing money. Shall I go on? What is my point? I cannot outgive God.
Hahah.

It aways amazes me how as a people we often sound like we are working to overturn everything another is saying. It is not the norm to hear someone comment on, the value of what another shares and then follow by adding to it. I will do that right now. You are 100 percent correct. Christ was the FIRST FRUIT in the context to which you refer. However, have you not researched the topic of FIRST FRUIT in the Old Testament? Tell me you have done so, prior to the writing. What have you found about its reference beyond Christ? I am eager to hear. Have a blessed day as we all grow in Christ if in fact you are a believer.and if you are not, that in Grace God will open your understanding so that you and I can grow exponentially in our understanding of the WHOLE COUNSEL of his word. I am still learning. Let us pray for God's guidance.
@@thelinkeducationalsupports2949 hahaha. There is nothing 'beyond' Christ in the Bible (OT + NT). Luke 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets (OT), he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself...44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
The moment you read the Bible (OT ) and don't see Christ, you are in 2 Corinthians 3:14: But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant (OT) is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away.
May the eyes of your understanding be open.
