Just got back from our Mexican Riviera cruise on this ship. We also had the sideways interior cabin, and loved it! I was nervous about an inside cabin but I will choose this option again. I found the formal dining room on this ship to be too loud, and did the buffet the rest of the time. Food was okay but not great. The afternoon bread pudding was my go to.
The atrium gives a calm, quiet place to sit next to the Grand Dutch Cafe. It’s understated, but that’s kind of the HA vibe. All the beds have the drawers, on the last day the stewards do put the bedding for the next cruise in there, we’ve always found it’s after we’ve packed, so it works fine!

Hey guys, thanks for the Koningsdam series. It helped us decide to book the same cruise you did. We have cruised with Royal Caribbean a lot in the past but are getting tired of the itineraries so looking to branch out and HAL look like it might be a great alternative for one of those "relaxing" cruises we need more of.
