@avengednightmare If I bought 3 ERV instead of the 6 orange shards would that be a bad choice or long terms will this pay off more than getting those orange shards? I am getting expedition store one daily, but the legion store and island store one's seem a bit too expensive. All in all if I did buy 3 ERV instead of the 6 orange shards (justifying it based on alternative gem price for orange shards all togeather) then, counting the ones bought though the expedition store I'll have 10 a week. On top of that, when the next gem spending event comes around I will have enought gems to buy 30 twice which will allow me to buy perk books. I'm pretty far from maxing my freebie heros-- need to get them to 4 stars first-- but I'm of the opinion that I'll be getting some hero buffs along with an easier method to perk in the future especially once I move on to having multiple marches. Is this a silly approach if my first march isn't perked or would this be in line with your strategy?
100% the game is a marathon not a sprint. If you setup perk mules now, it'll benefit you in future! And I always got the elite vouchers over orange shards. Better deal

One question, you have Lee Ywon at L100 with four perks - how come? (Time stamp 5.25 onwards) I thought you can only perk a 5* L120 hero? I've just checked, and non of my SSR L100 heroes have perks unlocked... Once a hero reaches 5 stars, you can unlock one of 4 perk slots with gems - Am I missing something?
Sorry, your Lee Ywon is L100... so maybe you have her at 5*, you just haven't leveled her up to 120 - does that make sense? Can I also ask, how the heck have you managed to get so many heroes to 5* L120? Seriously impressive.

depending on the perks they buff different things from attack, hp, to gathering speed for any tile, oil, food. Ultimately it makes a difference, but it take a while to collect enough resources to make it happen.

I stopped using elite completely, just letting them slowly pile up. The 70-90% purple I'm getting just pisses me off. Hope there's a change in the future but till then, they will just collect dust
Over the past 7-10 days or so I have experienced heavily degraded return on gold heroes in both Premium and Elite. I just tried this out and only got 12 gold in one batch of 10 elites, only 6 in the next, and only 8 the next. Are you still seeing ~30 shards? Maybe I've been unlucky. If it's down to 9-10 on average your approach for buying Elites is blown.
Yeah mine are still staying consistent with the results. I can keep track to see again if it's changed. I will say during testing I did have some spats of bad luck but it averaged out over time.
