Matt! Not related to the Jeep but what kind of watch are you rocking? I’m always on the hunt for a durable yet low profile, simple analog faced, good looking watch. What’s your system for keeping it not scuffed? My ideal watch would stay on my wrist around the clock from business meetings to wrenching on the Jeep to duct cleaning. The most ideal way I’ve found to keep from losing it.
Its just a Relic I got at Kohls. Then the wife bought me a stick on glass cover like you can get for an iphone that protects the face... Not sure if it will come off easy as I havent tried to remove it yet.

Matt, TJs have a similar issue with the steering gearbox. A lot of companies make a skid plate for them, you might be able to fab something up. ( No I haven't cheated to see the finished build you might have already done it )
I like the wire as a guide for the new holes...neat. And the copper backing to plug the holes...classic. I'm pretty good at 500 piece puzzles but loose patience doing the 1000 piece puzzles. Your patience is amazing. Love the shark look too, pretty inventive Matt.
Just asking, wouldn't you want the slider to be close to full forward at full droop. Like with in an inch of the stop at full droop. So that you have plenty of slide at full stuff. I'm not sure if that equates to the middle of the slide at static ( flat and level with weight of vehicle ). Maybe I missed something. Love the build.
zachary lugar I sure hope so because in the video when he had the axel at ride height the slider was way past center. Looked like it was maybe 2 inches or so from hitting the stop. Not much room for uptravel.
BleepinJeep I was wondering why you didn't leave much room for up travel. Never seen a slider box before but definitely like the idea. When you get her wheeling be sure to keep us up to date on performance and durability of the wear parts (nylon washer bolt ect.)
Have you thought about just transferring the holes on paper and then moving it up? I haven’t read any previous comments, but I’m sure you’ve done this before.

its delrin, I suppose it will last a long time as its not a daily driver and only sees the trail a few days a month at most.

the springs are already almost flat so they aren't going to slide back much at all because they cant get any longer than flat.
