That is a beautiful compressor. Should be able to pump up a few of your grandkids’ bike tires

This is not a $200 dollar air compressor. This is a homemade air compressor with a $200 belt tensioner. 😂. Nice work, love the build so far.

Some compressors really suffer from belt flap, even the linked belts aren't a cure all. I always liked the multiple belt set-up on some of those problem situations... Three thin belts side by side seem so steady compared to one larger belt. Great stuff Randy!

For sure John, the pulsation cause most of it. Bigger heave flywheel I think. Thanks.

Old School Machinist, finely crafted my good man. Impressive skill set. Well made Blueprint. Auto-CAD? So impressed I subscribed. Kids these days do not want to learn something as fine as a Machinist. They just want the big bucks with no skill sets.
While watching looks like you fractured a metacarpal on the right hand index finger. I did the same thing but probably not the same way. The bones heal and leave a big lump at the fracture point.

Just what I need, use half a million dollars worth of equipment for making one 2 thousand dollar shop compressor!

Personally thats exactly how I justify buying new toys that cost more then it would have to just go out and buy whatever it is, I’m planning on making. Plus it keeps us busy and out of the house.

When you use the thread mic, you really should file the tops of the thread and wire brush before you mic it. You were probably getting wrong reading due to the burrs. Just a helpful tip if you did not know. Great idea to put the tensioner, i have an old compressor that was hard to get the belts tight also.
