Today I was cooking and suddenly I had no more gas. I had to go out and reopen the gas valve. In the meantime my pasta was over cooked when I came back. I really hate this system. Never happened to me in other countries.
It gives you the gas by opening the valve. I do this multiple times when I don't have gas anymore in the house and it works fine. Obviously it's a bit annoying because I have to go outside.
The valve is connected to the gas meter. This valve can be closed if the gas meter hasn't been used for a while, or has completely run out of credit and emergency credit.
Hello, my gas meter shows a “Call help” error. I kept calling all Scottish power numbers and there is no reply.. it has been a whole week without gas this winter and the kids are freezing and starving. What should we do?
I'm so sorry! It never happened to me. I've tried to do some search on Google and found that if the screen is blank or showing a message such as 'error', 'call help' or 'battery', there's probably a fault with the meter. Tell your supplier straight away or you could be left with no energy.

What didt his actually do? Did it give you free emergency credit or something? Can this be repeated over and over?
