Really been enjoying your videos ! I have a deep respect for anyone involved with conservation work. I still remember my kumu from elementary school reminding us every time we saw her that it is out kuleana to mālama i ka ‘āina. The views on this loop look killa, I gotta add it to da list. Mahalo for sharing, aloha from Puna :)
Rain is pretty normal on Oahu in general, especially on the northern shore. Typically it rains frequently during the winter season and is very sunny during the summer, however compared to previous summers, this year has seen much more rain.
@@minc4970 it always rains, that’s just apart of Hawaii! However, it usually comes in short spurts and feels light and refreshing. It rarely pours rain all day, especially during the summer. Certain parts of the island see more rain compared to others, but I don’t know if I would contribute this summer’s rain to climate change necessarily. We are currently in an El Nino period, meaning the islands should be experiencing more intense dry spells and storms. However, this summer has been pretty docile so far, so perhaps you are right in assuming climate change is affecting Oahu’s weather- just in a positive way this time lol! But in general, the weather here is just hard to predict due to the various, constantly changing, conditions surrounding the island.
Hey Min, agreed with @rileyange - the rain can occur any time. Around December through March is our winter season known for a wetter and colder conditions (nothing like mainland cool temps though lol).
Can't wait for part 2

@@rileyange so it rains in the summer and winter now due to the climate change?

Why are all these trails in neighborhoods? Need parking lots
Yeah it's sad the state doesn't really give much funding toward trail recreation and just to the conversation world.
