Hi Chris……took your word for it…..and ordered some Pelican Vitamin E Barrier Cream. Pelican sent me 4 Sachets to try out. WOW! I’m REALLY impressed!! My skin looks AMAZING after using this cream for 10 days now. I’ve been changing my appliance every couple of days, so that I can give this cream a good chanceto work. Well…..itching has stopped and my skin is SO even in texture. My problem is right around the stoma edge…it was red raw, but even that is looking a lot, LOT better. I’ve tried everything Chris….Stoma Powders, various Barrier sprays…but never had such a wonderful result as I’ve had using this cream. I used your method….Rubin g cream gently but constantly round and round….then tackled the skin right up against my stoma. After so much irritarption over the years, the skin is a bit knobbly, where the sore areas are. I have some granuloma tissue, which I will be removing with some Silver Nitrate sticks in the next couple of days. I keep putting off doing this, as it does sting….but I did a tiny area with Silver Nitrate on the right stoma edge…and it’s healing after the cream applications. It’s just pale pink now, not red raw. Granuloma skin tissue won’t heal - but you have to know what you’re doing with the Silver Nitrate. You have to be SUPER careful with the stuff. I GENTLY massage the Pelican cream in under the stoma for a few minutes. Having an Ileostomy, the stoma gets real wet, so when I continually have to “blot it” with tissue. I do a final wipe under the stoma to remove antipyretic cream that has not been absorbed and to dry the stoma completely, then quickly apply my bag with Eakin Barrier Ring already attached.
I just HAD to let you know my results so far with the Pelican Barrier Cream, as I think you are correct. It IS this cream that’s the miracle worker. I’ll carry on using it and get back to you. Thank you SO MUCH Chris….this could be the solution for me of years of sore skin around the very edge of my stoma. Big hugs. Teddy U.K. xx

I am so pleased the cream helps. It is a great cream and I use it regularly. People do worry about using creams, but with my video and your excellent comment hopefully more people will try it and as a result have better skin. This is exactly why I do these videos, solely for helping people.

It's amazing that your poop coming out isn't important to me as the viewer. It's all part of the demonstration. It's reality. It's a good addition to it. Thanks for being sooo real and helpful to those who need it.

Yes Mamuty…..but you will need to get a Vitamin E Cream that is NOT greasy, or your appliance wafer will not stick onto your skin. This recommendation from Chris, for the PELICAN Vitamin E Barrier Cream is spot on….and his demo is brilliant in how this cream should be applied. Rub the cream in until the skin feels DRY. Wipe carefully under the stoma to thoroughly remove any cream that has not been absorbed. In the U.K., the product number for the Pelican Barrier Cream is 13100E. Teddy U.K.

@@Teddibere1 thanks I will look into it. I'm in Poland so our product choices are somewhat the same but they also differ in accessibility.

Just a tip for everyone…..tuck in a thin towel over your trouser waistband below your stoma if you are changing your appliance while clothed, to prevent any “accidents” if the stoma becomes active while you are changing. This will prevent your trousers becoming marked or soiled. It’s much easier to wash a thin towel!! Or….sometimes I use a couple of dry wipes to tuck in the waistband and drape over trouser material until I’ve finished my change. If the wipes don’t get soiled at all, you can always put them back in the packet and use them again. Teddy U.K. x

That's a good tip for everyone Teddy. I never do because my output is so slow and if anything does come out I see it. But your tip is worth while for the majority. Cheers.
