Dad, Tim, explains how the duo's Britain’s Got Talent audition song The Lucky Ones was a response to the deaths of his mum and granddad. Son, Jack, reveals how music is a central feature of his life.

Jack (13) and Tim (45) Goodacre are a father-and-son singer-songwriter duo whose performance of The Lucky Ones in their Britain’s Got Talent audition earned them a golden buzzer from Simon Cowell.
In the semifinals, they performed Big Wide World, another of their own songs, which won them a place in the final.
Jack and Tim are now working on their début album, The Lucky Ones.
Jack Goodacre was also a contestant in The Voice Kids UK 2017 and previously starred as Zack in the West End production of School of Rock.

outstanding guys... when i heard that first audition song, like so many, tears swelled and pure happiness swept all over... i am so jealous of all father & son relationships, many years ago found out i was unable to have a family of my own, devastated to say the least but after years i've worked through the depression and focused on the joys of life and sharing with others... thou fatherhood has been the biggest dream of mine, being there for others who lost or never knew a father has brought so much more than i ever managed... thank you for sharing your story ..8-)

They hinted on stage that the song was written following a family tragedy. Such a sad loss, two close loved ones in such a short time. Some of the greatest song were written as an expression of grief. (Tears on Heaven comes to mind.) Thank you for sharing this.
Amazing characters with sweet voice, anytime i watched this clip, my eyes filled with tears and that reminds me of my late dad. May God Almighty sustained you all and blessed you and your family. I would love to listen more to your melodious voice once again. Father and son special.

@@marklee7805 I live in Garland, Texas. I would take them to a rodeo and a wonderful museum we have called the Perot Museum. I would then take them to the Garland Performing Arts Center. This would allow them to spend a lot of quality time with each other without having to work.

It's called Simple Days. It's another of Jack and Tim’s own songs, but it’s not been released yet.
