Newcastle are actually a very good team so unlucky to be eliminated from ucl I remember that psg away game I think the last group game and they needed 3 points to at least get europa but they lost to a dubious handball decision, struggled to get rhythm due to injuries. What a job Eddie has done ❤
Close, but PSG was the 2nd last game and yes, we were robbed by an awful decision in stoppage time. The rule that got changed this season. The last match we ended up losing 1-2 at home to AC Milan but were winning and within 15 minutes of coming second in the group. That game was played out completely differently because of the PSG result, as we had to go for a win rather than just needing a draw. And our injury crisis had started so we were playing teenagers... And I agree, EH has done wonders since he came to us. Genius.
That handball decision was so bad (and biased towards psg) that uefa were forced to change the handball rules. Usual big club cartel stuff, the psg chairman is on the board of uefa.
We were 30 mins away from qualifying. Then AC Milan brought on £100m worth of substitutes & we had nothing on our bench due to the injury situation. Narrow margins & what could have been's
@NeilBramfitt Ah well, a more Hollywood ending with my numbers! It was part of the run where we had to play the same 11 for a while, with no subs, wasn't it? I could look it up but can't be bothered, but I recall the wheels fell off our season over Christmas (6 losses from 7 or something) and the ACM game was about this time, Jan or early Feb. Anyway, hopefully old news and it won't happen again; fingers crossed but we seem to have fixed the balance between pressing and injuries (or whatever the issue was)
These opposition managers are hilarious, Postecoglu ate a big bag of sour grapes a few days ago then Arteta complains about the ball! Heaven forbid they should just admit they were well beaten.
Agreed, he’s got to stay. He’s proven himself in these last few games. It just depends on whether the player himself wants to leave, sounds like he does.
@@MB-gl7fx He's been loyal to Newcastle for many years, and most of which he was used as a backup, he's now 36 and finally been offered a big wage package which he isn't really getting at Newcastle, so as well as he's done for us, It's only fair that we accept he wants to go and play guaranteed first team and also double his wage package, to set his family up, at 36 he don't have much time left to do so.
EH - great strategy & tactics. Forwards won the game in 1H. Defenders won the game in 2H. Midfielders carried the team through entire game. Solid teamwork, passion and desire to win. We are behind you all the way!
Message for Newcastle board please please back the manager and get him at least 2 fresh faces in this window. He is achieving these results with ine hand tied behind his back. So please step up and help start the real success at the club.
Eddie howe !what a credit he is a thinker! Carer.. doer! Grafter! reads people and the GAME WELL! COULD NT Write it what a mamager when he was brought in and now!
With the Dubravka thing either Dubravka is eager to leave and wouldn't accept a new contract, or relations between Eddie and Mitchell are still icy to say the least. If Dubravka isn't adamant in going it suggests that Mitchell has made a financial decision over Eddie's head.
Just like Chelsea did on the Ukrainian Because Arsenal are fan of ISAK and they were the first club to talked about his transfer to the Premier league but Newcastle heard about it and rushed to sign him abit quicker 😅
I knew we were in with a decent chance when I saw so many Arsenal wearing gloves when Toon supporters had their shirts off ! They’ll be wearing scarves and hats when they come to SJP IN February !
If you really look at it, the reaction and attitude from Arteta and a lot of Gooners after losing plays right into our hands. Why on earth would Isak want to play for Arteta? He's an average coach. Has spent an absolute fortune and when his team is really tested, fail and fail badly. Pissy and petulant, blaming all sorts in childish rants. Eddie Howe is always pure class, win, lose or draw. He helps players develop, Hall, Gordon, Tino, Joelinton, Murphy etc etc. If players want to grow, become better and play for their respective countries they will and plenty have already under Eddie Howe. So moan away Arteta and Gooners, playing right into our hands. THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT THE FUTURE IS TOON 🏁🏁 HWTL

So grateful we have a manager like Howe, he's excellent. Toon toon!
And b4 2 months ago you were saying sack Eddie 😅
@@abdisharif9983 A handful of fans (probably not even from England) were saying that - don't read too much into social media fake accounts bud
We're so lucky to have such a professional and tactically giftet manager!

Really hope club do a 180 & keep Dubravka with a contract extension. He’s been outstanding & gives the back more confidence than Pope.
