Today, I was working on college homework. I hadn't realized how stressed I was until I turned on beach sounds and instantly felt overwhelmed to the point of tears. I switched to this video and a calm washed over me. I was able to write a paper, that I have been struggling to complete the last two days, within an hour. On a dark night once i swam out to see, i was 400m from the sore when i turned back to the beach. I got my head down again and swam for around the same amount of time, but when i raised my head i was further away (the tide was going out)
I'd not told my parent's where i was going and was totally alone in the dark sea. Adrenaline and fear of what was beneath got me back to shore. This is the sound i heard as i lay on the beach recovering for a few minutes. Never have i ever been so glad to be alive. I told my parents many years later. The closer we are to death the more we feel alive.

Please don’t ever go swimming in the sea at night! It’s incredibly dangerous! My dad spent years on the RNLI lifeboat and many a night we would stay up when the lifeboat was called out to rescue 🛟 those in trouble. Not always successfully - sadly. And the RNLI crew are all volunteers with families who risk their own lives each time they called out. It’s terrifying. Being from an island, we’ve lost many friends in boat accident or drowning’s. Please always be safe in the water, it’s stronger and more deadly than you know. God bless ❤️🙏

When I lived in California there was a radio station that would come on around 11:00 at night and it would play the ocean and first it was the water coming up to the shore and then the background you could hear the seagulls and then as it got closer to daylight it was the ocean waves going back and you would still hear the seagulls and it was so relaxing this reminds me of it. You need some seagulls
