This is the sort of game that even playing it for about a solid year as a kid I could never even get used to the normal walking movements and I would still end up not being able to predict how Banjo would turn corners. The way people have mastered the controls is so impressive to me.
This is my all time favorite game and ive been trying to get faster beating it. Im not all good with the going through walls but i can manage a 4-5 hour run easily. You killed this run and congrats on the record.

I can’t help but think the bee transformation would be more useful in bubblegloop swamp. Maybe not for everything, but certainly some things right? Or is there a specific reason it’s not used more?
In Bubblegloop Swamp, would it be faster to trigger the Frog Jiggie as Banjo but collect it as the alligator to skip the dance? It doesn’t seem like it would be out of your way at the end there.

It's by using a glitch called furnace fun moves (shortened to FFM). It's hard to explain but if you set up a separate file and learn all the moves except eggs and feathers and get to furnace fun (the quiz at the end), if you get a game over (die with 0 lives) inside one of the minigames from a clock tile and then start a new game on a different file you will have all of the moves once you enter mumbo's mountain. You don't want to learn eggs and feathers because when you learn them bottles gives you 50 eggs and 25 feathers which are needed.
EdwardSponge It kinda does, but it's just a glitch, and glitches are fair game in most speedruns (and speedrun categories). Hell, some games couldn't be speedy at all without glitches.

Still think the Furnace Fun glitch should be it's own category. You need to play the game to be able to do it. If someone were to hand you a blank BK cart and ask you to speedrun it you wouldn't be able to get this time.

Tokens are only necessary for transforming. Since bgs is the last level, you don’t need to transform anymore so why pick up a token that just wastes time to get?
Why aren't Mumbo's skulls considered for 100%? They're not respawning like eggs, notes etc. I see you missed some (in the engine room in Rusty Bucket Bay for example)...
Because they're not on the game totals screen. You also can't get them all anyway, since two in MMM are linked, i.e., if you get one, you can't get the other.

It's more of a detour than it seems, and if you didn't grab it as Banjo, you'd be sitting there waiting for the jiggy spawn cutscene to finish anyway.
