You should listen to The Sounders. Kaab Nqausvas is a good band but when they play live on stage, they sounded different. The Sounders on the other hand, sound even better than recording. Anyone who ever attended a Sounders concert know exactly what I'm talking about. Sudden Rush is very good, MosHlub is good too... but Sounders still takes the cake. Sounders have controlled Hmong band from the 90's to this very day. My son play the drum since he was 8 years old and now he's 22. I also have a nephew who have been playing guitar since he was 5 years old and now he's 25. The both of them were taught by professional and can cover almost any American songs (from heavy rock to classical to flamenco). But when they heard Sounders play live, they were shock how good these guys really are. I'm not disrespecting Kaab Nqausvas, I'm just saying that Sounders kick butt big time.
I also fell in love with my ex husband after hearing him sing this song. It still melts my heart whenever I hear it- too bad the ex husband is an ex now..
Yes they are arguably one of the best Hmong bands to have ever graced the music world back in the 80's. 2 of my bro in laws were in that band and up to this day I still have very fond memories of them playing when I was living in RI :)
I can't believe this! It's been 20 years since I've heard this songs and I'm crying from the memories. I know you know who I am. I used to be close to Rat Kat. Thank you! How do I get an album?
hey hmoobmusic tell me when the cd of your dad come out cause my dad is a big fan too. and your dad is the only moob leej singer i know but if your dad knows any moob leej singer that sing in the 80s or 70s tell me cause I'm moob leej too and my dad only have your dad's album.
Do you know Haam Choj? Let me know, i want him to come and perform at a family party, please let me know. I really like how he perform, I live in Saint Paul
I agree... Hmong songs since the late 90s into the last decade have all lost meaning. Too much focus on rythm, melody, instead of well written traditional Hmong spoken lyrics. Their lyrics are just literal english phrase translations word for word repeated over and over again and not sung (nor spoken) as how the Hmong language should be spoken. I guess it draws more to the younger generation who can no longer speak Hmong fluently the way it's suppose to be spoken or understand I guess
2024 and still listening 🎶. These guys are my cousins, uncles, inlaws, family!
One of the greatest Hmong band and song ever.
For Hmong, I still think they are the best band. My older brother used to sing this song at every party.
