    how much mm is the elbow that goes in to the turbo pipe? 57mm or 51?

    • @Jrk450
      @Jrk450  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s from 57mm at the turbo then reducing to 51mm to the alloy straight pipe

    How do you take out old hoses, you dismantle them before?

    I'm a bit late to the party, but do you have the part number for that gasket where the chargepipe mounts to the turbo outlet flange?

    Did it leak boost clamping over the quick realese ?

    • @Jrk450
      @Jrk450  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope it didn’t leak as it was a very tight fit over the ridge. However just for extra peace of mind to prevent it blowing off I did put an extra clamp on before the ridge as well.

    Hi, i have a pre lci 535d, i have a slight oil leak from the intercooler pipe on the passenger side of the car. The leak is at the bottom, i have the oem pipe with metal clip connected to the intercooler and it is leaking from there, where could i get a long enough silicone hose to go onto the intercooler without the metal clip?
    Also my intercooler the connection isn't on the side like yours but on the main part

      It will probably be the o-ring that needs replacing which is causing the leak. This will be more cost effective.

      I have changed both pipe and o ring still it leaks, is there a longer silicone hose that will fit over the intercooler connector then just use a mikalor clip

      @@21eesa ok since it is leaking past the new seal. More than likely your rocker cover gasket needs replacing. What’s happening is a leaky/old rocker cover gasket is causing excess crank gas pressure. Which in turn is blowing oil into your turbo air induction pipe. This then blows into your intercooler pipes and intercooler. I am sure your intercooler is filled with crank vapour oil. The pressurisation of crank gas will lead to crank seals at front and rear of engine failing and you will get oil leaks from there too.

      Old OEM pipes has gone really soft, so did not want to risk them rupturing under high boost. OEM pipes were really expensive so I went thick high quality silicone.
