    I also want to mention that your videos inspired me this year to do no-pattern sewing for myself. I actually have a degree in theatre design with a concentration in costumes, but have never felt confident to sew without a pattern for myself. Thanks for being such an inspiring and fearless sewist!

    Oh you two are so cute in your costumes! Me and my best friend are going as Wirt and Greg this year too and I've also been wanting to make these costumes since the show first came out. You did a lovely job, as always! 🧡

    Looking cute!!! Honestly, your brother makes a perfect Wirt; he really looks the part!
    OTGW holds such a special place in my heart; I was Wirt for Halloween 3 years ago, Greg last year, and Lorna this year 😆 I suppose Beatrice has to be next on my list?

    Thank you for the tutorial! How much fabric (in yards) did you end up needing of one color for Wirt's cloak?

    I've never heard of that cartoon but I love the shorts/ suspenders. And the cape is awesome. I've always wanted one. Mostly from watching once upon a time and the movie "the village" haha

    I'm going through some videos on how to make Greg's teapot hat and this is definitely a top contender for the method! It seems stable, and while it's probably a bit more time consuming than others the result is phenomenal!

    You and your brother look like you are having soo much fun. My older sister ask me to do things like this sometimes too. I would not be brave enough to do it on camera though. Kudos to your big brother.

    I know this video is a few years old, but I’m so curious as to how your brother kept the hat on his head! I’m making a cosplay with a cone hat as well, and it keeps toppling off when I move 🤣

    This helped me get an idea on how to make the costume for wirt so this video is extremely helpful 😊 sadly I don't have an greg since everyone i know either already have a costume or doesn't want to be him 😔 i would ask my older sister but she doesn't like dressing up lol, this also reminded me that I still need to make the costume since I haven't even started and Halloween is in 6 days 😅

    Originally I'd bought a cloak from Amazon, but it didn't have the red lining. I tried cutting out the lining from a piece of red fabric from Joanne's, tracing on the cloak. After pining it in, I noticed that my shoulders couldn't move in the new lining and after a quick test with hot glue, it was even worse. I noticed that the Amazon clock had a LOT of shoulder space due to it being made from four different panels. I'm thinking of just restarting from scratch using this tutorial, but I'm worried that the shoulder space thing is going to happen again. I'm 6ft and measured from my neck to where I want my clock to lay and the material doesn't seem to be wide enough to allow that. Any tips?

    How did you get the 5” for the neck? My boyfriend’s neck measurement is 17” so I don’t know what that would be?😅

    • @aureliadenasha2829
      @aureliadenasha2829 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m wondering the same thing! I know you divide the circumference (the neck measurement) by 6.28 to get the radius, but I just don’t trust I’m not missing some step!

    Is there any chance the bloomers/shorts pattern will be available in the shop? I tried to copy yours from the video but it didn't come out right >< (It's hard to know if the line are parallel or on an angles :C ))

    Wear those shorts IRL. They are too cute not to.
    Also, I trick or treated until I was 18. Yeah I got some weird looks from my peers who were trying to be "so grown up" but they all quieted down when I had a load of free candy.

    Have you ever heard of/do you know if you or your brother has marfan syndrome? I ask as somebody who does, yall have the tallness/long limbs/fingers/a bit of the facial features. It what made Micheal Phelps so tall and long-limbed, and why Abraham Lincoln was so tall! It's in a family of conditions known as connective tissue disorders, there's a couple that have the longness as a big feature.
