Bo Nix’s ability to feel defenders in the pocket is also overlooked. To me is what stands out the most from him, after years of QBs getting sacked to oblivion with Denver Nix is refreshing and exciting to watch. Im happy my team drafted him.
It feels good not to see 5-8 sacks per game like with Russ. Nothing worse than knocking a team out of field goal range twice a game because you are doing spins in a clean pocket.

Not every rookie QB is going to light it up in their first year. Love sat for years before he put it together. Bo is composed and athletic enough to play now. That doesn't mean he is a finished product. He has happy feet because he has had to make plays running and escaping the pocket. Once he finds the balance between being able to stay in the pocket and when to escape, he will be able to set his feet and deliver the ball routinely.
For real, people are acting like Bo Nix (and many rookie QBs) need to be near their best right away. I know it's been mentioned often but, look at Brandon Allen as a great example (along with all time greats like Peyton Manning).
Broncos are in purgatory this year and maybe next year due to Wilson’s stupid contract and all the draft picks we gave up. It’s gonna take a couple of years to get more talent around Bo.
Sean Payton wasn't responsible for the atrocious contract that our organization gave to Russ without him playing a single down of football. He did however rip the bandaid off so that we could get back to being on the right side of things going forward. Bo Nix isn't a quick fix and shouldn't be expected to be playing for a Super Bowl his first year. He needs time to develop into the system and grow with the players on the team. Payton will put the Bronco's I believe in the best position to win football games but it's still essentially up to the players to execute. We need better offensive weapons to further grow Nix's talents, hopefully a more talented TE or WR before the trade deadline but definitely the upcoming draft in 2025. I feel like I've said this for the past 8 years but I'm hopeful more now than in previous years that we're on the right path to getting this team back to winning consistently again.

The problem as a broncos fan that I have with Bo nix is he doesn’t stay in the pocket very long. If he feels pressure he immediately gets out of the pocket and panics at times. If he can just get better in the pocket then we got a real future QB

Bo Nix loves football. He has good genes for this game. He has lots of brains. He is going to work his rear end off to get better. He is a lunch pail QB. With the head he has on his shoulders, he will be a great QB. He is setting several firsts for this franchise. Sean Payton was upset when wanted to draft Patrick Mahomes, and Bo Nix was the man he wanted and got. Payton analyzes QBs quite accurately. I don't think he made a mistake this time around.
Julian, I just always agree with your take on Nix. I still think it will be so much easier for him when their talent on offense improves. They haven't had a pro bowl player on offense at the skill positions in years and still dont. We need a true no.1 wide receiver, and desperately need a tight end. And our pass protection isn't doing Nix any favors. He's had 3 no sack games this year. He broke a streak of 51 straight games with at least 1 sack until he got here!!
Bo is the real deal. We live in a microwave generation where ppl love to label progressing and develop ROOKIES as busts too quick. Bo has pocket presence, accuracy when he ties his feet to his shoulders, athleticism not just sneaky athleticism he is a legit threat with his legs. He has ALL of the intangibles you look for in a qb. He has everything you CANT teach and that’s the beautiful part about Bo everything that’s “wrong” is fixable. I honestly only saw two bad throws. The chip to the TE was deflected, and that's why it didn't get there. My biggest problem so far is why are none of these receivers getting any separation. Ik there good players. I just hope they start getting open when Bo is going through his progession.
As a Broncos fan I consider myself an expert on bad QB play lol Bo doesn’t feel like all the other QB’s, he just need to time and reps. The footwork will be an offseason focus, Sean will maximize him and find the right rhythm/recipe.

Bo’s issues were mostly footwork related. That can be fixed. I haven’t seen enough to be completely sold on him yet, but I still think he’ll get it sorted out and be great.
Only reason Bo is receiving as much criticism as he has been is because people already had it in their head that he was a bad quarterback, but the truth is, he is not nearly as bad as people are making him out to be. He’s rushing the ball amazingly He’s not turning it over since week two he has only had one turnover not many quarterbacks in the league right now have only one turnover in the last five weeks. That’s impressive for a rookie his biggest issue right now is his footwork and honestly, he just looks a little nervous, but I think that with time I’ll figure it out.

Bo Nix allows the Broncos to get in position to score. Sure he can improve on things, HES A ROOKIE. Over 200 total yards and no turnovers. They scored and won.
Colin is my favorite national guy but he watches one game and takes that as a seasonal evaluation. Bo nix has had 10 really solid quarters where you see his ability to be “the guy.” Also, anyone who has watched the broncos knows that actually, guard, center, guard has been disastrous the last few weeks. Forsyth is terrible, Meinerz hasn’t lived up to the contract and Powers has been inconsistent in pass protection.
Broncos can absolutely get 10+ wins if our defense stays great and offense keeps improving in some ways week in week out. Chiefs games will be a big factor, but I think we can get another win off them this season, guess we will see.

Bo needs to get his feet and mechanics fixed and ASAP. hopefully he will get repaired in the off season. i think he gets nervous when the pocket is in flux, instead of focusing on the receivers he feels it's time to move. nix didn't lead in rushing last night, javonte did. albeit by only a few yards. i also think he gets indecisive when pushing the ball down field, that's why the over and under throws.

To me he will be OC/head coach reliant. To a degree all QBs are. But I’m thinking closer to say Sam Darnold reliant than say Josh Allen or Joe Burrow reliant.

One thing you look at Nix in collage , he had NO happy feet in the pocket he had a good O-line especially the Tackles at Oregon , Bolles is a huge problem , The QB school shows bolles driving tacklers into Nix, plus bolles can't block , the chargers game the TV guys made a statement he had 5 penalties already this year and they were drive killers, one last thing Nix at Oregon he had more speed at receiver and they were smaller , when you go with size you give up speed , you look at the lions lots of speed not real big.

Uh no if you look at the actual numbers he had to scramble for nearly 1 in 4 drop backs. 1/3 of his drop backs he experienced pressure. For the season Bo is top 2 for scrambles second to only Jayden Daniels. And top 3 in drop backs with pressure. Knowledge is power. 🤷♂️

Sutton can be a #1, but he can’t be the only people who can make plays. TE stinks, Mims drops passes, Lil Jordan is not good, etc. Bo needs helps

Bo is the real deal. We live in a microwave generation where ppl love to label progressing and develop ROOKIES as busts too quick. Bo has pocket presence, accuracy when he ties his feet to his shoulders, athleticism not just sneaky athleticism he is a legit threat with his legs. He has ALL of the intangibles you look for in a qb. He has everything you CANT teach and that’s the beautiful part about Bo everything that’s “wrong” is fixable. Let’s not act like this roster isn’t complete shit offensively, he is elevating that team past its expectations as a rookie. 4 in a row it’s not all on him but he could certainly be all the reason they are losing take a look at Will Levis. As a Broncos fan I consider myself an expert on bad QB play lol Bo doesn’t feel like all the other QB’s, he just need to time and reps. The footwork will be an offseason focus, Sean will maximize him and find the right rhythm/recipe.

Bo’s issues were mostly footwork related. That can be fixed. I haven’t seen enough to be completely sold on him yet, but I still think he’ll get it sorted out and be great.

Only reason Bo is receiving as much criticism as he has been is because people already had it in their head that he was a bad quarterback, but the truth is, he is not nearly as bad as people are making him out to be. He’s rushing the ball amazingly He’s not turning it over since week two he has only had one turnover not many quarterbacks in the league right now have only one turnover in the last five weeks. That’s impressive for a rookie his biggest issue right now is his footwork and honestly, he just looks a little nervous, but I think that with time I’ll figure it out.
People forget the point in football. It’s not about stats. It’s about getting the FOOTBALL in the end zone or through the goal posts for a field goal, whether you use a pass or a run. Bo Nix allows the Broncos to get in position to score. Sure he can improve on things, HES A ROOKIE. Over 200 total yards and no turnovers. They scored and won.

Colin is my favorite national guy but he watches one game and takes that as a seasonal evaluation. Bo nix has had 10 really solid quarters where you see his ability to be “the guy.” Also, anyone who has watched the broncos knows that actually, guard, center, guard has been disastrous the last few weeks. Forsyth is terrible, Meinerz hasn’t lived up to the contract and Powers has been inconsistent in pass protection.
Broncos can absolutely get 10+ wins if our defense stays great and offense keeps improving in some ways week in week out. Chiefs games will be a big factor, but I think we can get another win off them this season, guess we will see.

People forget denver is cooking on a budget on top of having a rooking QB, and the Oline isnt exactly top tier but damn that number 10 jersey looks pretty clean these last 4 game's. cap space is going to open up next year. sean love to run, bush , ingram, kamara..ect but he stacks the line in the offseason. Lets bo footwork and IQ progress in the actual games this year rather than just film and team practice, goes into 2nd year with an top 10 offense and top 10 defense if they can retain most of the defense in off-season

Bo needs to get his feet and mechanics fixed and ASAP. hopefully he will get repaired in the off season. i think he gets nervous when the pocket is in flux, instead of focusing on the receivers he feels it's time to move. nix didn't lead in rushing last night, javonte did. albeit by only a few yards. i also think he gets indecisive when pushing the ball down field, that's why the over and under throws.

To me he will be OC/head coach reliant. To a degree all QBs are. But I’m thinking closer to say Sam Darnold reliant than say Josh Allen or Joe Burrow reliant.

One thing you look at Nix in collage , he had NO happy feet in the pocket he had a good O-line especially the Tackles at Oregon , Bolles is a huge problem , The QB school shows bolles driving tacklers into Nix, plus bolles can't block , the chargers game the TV guys made a statement he had 5 penalties already this year and they were drive killers, one last thing Nix at Oregon he had more speed at receiver and they were smaller , when you go with size you give up speed , you look at the lions lots of speed not real big.

Uh no if you look at the actual numbers he had to scramble for nearly 1 in 4 drop backs. 1/3 of his drop backs he experienced pressure. For the season Bo is top 2 for scrambles second to only Jayden Daniels. And top 3 in drop backs with pressure. Knowledge is power. 🤷♂️

When Bo plays a faster tempo, he looks great. When he has time, he looks terrible. Bo did not have this problem with accuracy in college, so why is it a problem now? He is literally missing wide open throws. It’s a mechanics issue and I think his qb coaching staff has asked him to change his natural flow. It’ll click, and when it does, he’ll be great
