Migel Vazkez oh my gosh exactly what I was seeing from this annoying crap ! What a waste and TH-cam better not be putting ANY of this channels bs in my recommendeds. I’ll straight up be ticked lol 😂
I’m pretty sure that wave that hit lituya bay in Alaska in 1958 was far bigger than any of these waves, it was a full size mega tsunami that reached a height of over 1,700 feet
*Warning:* Waves are extremely dangerous and aren’t usually on the list of “top ten things that can kill you”. They don’t get enough credit for how dangerous they are. I’m in Kona, Hawaii, the waves are HUGE, but, those are the smallest waves you might see in a long time. They can wipe you out and leave you under water for what seems like forever. Stay safe, please ❤️
@@angiestudios6033 When you go to the beach, you ARE going to see water whether you like it or not! And what do you want the police to do...handcuff the water? 😁😜
6:01 Feel like I just saw a ghost. The crab boat shown at this point in the video "Scandies Rose" sank on Dec 31, 2019 losing 5 of 7 crew. This video was posted an entire year before that happened. WTF. Want to know something creepier. Look at the dialogue at that point "Ships per year simply vanished beneath the waves never to be seen again" Will be lucky if I shake this eerie feeling anytime soon. The universe never ceases to stretch my mind.
Should have done a bit more research on that Antarctic one. In 2001, I think, Caledonian Star and Bremen [Antarctic cruise ships] both had their bridge windows caved in by freak waves only 2 or 3 days apart. The Bremen in particular was very lucky to survive being totally without power for quite a few hours after the hit

During the segment of the Wahoo blast, you showed footage of the Umbrella blast, which was the other underwater nuclear test during the operation, and was actually much taller.
it wasn't a one time thing. It happens every year, due to a big gap on the sea bed a certain distance from the coast, it causes huge waves in Nazaré. It's called Canhão da Nazaré (roughly translating to Nazaré Cannon)
@@milquetoastthenottypeofcat9436 Yes there is a time where the tides are crazy, i don't know the name in english for that phenomenon, but it's towards the very end of beach season here in Portugal so yeah probably October! But they're usually quite big all year round in Nazaré

"The Wahoo nuclear test was performed in the Pacific Ocean..." *shows satellite photo of the state of Florida surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico* ....derp!
😲😱That's why I do not Cruise in the summer because of hurricanes and those type of storms, as a Miamian I understand these storms very well, a cruise off season in the Caribbean when hurricane season is over
Here's one for you to research and maybe add to your list. I was aboard a passenger ship called the Mv (I think) Orange (pronounced orangee) on it's way to Melbourne Australia on about 15 December 1959. The ship was a day or two from Melbourne in the Great Australian Bight when at about midday we were caught by a very powerful wave that caused the ship to roll to 48 degrees. There was much damage including bursting portholes one deck below the main deck, when we reached Melbourne approximately 50 passengers were hospitalised with an array of injuries.
I appreciate the information. However, the embedded small tv is frustrating, to say the least. Why reduce the video viewing size using that? You lost some points there.
Whoever edited this seems to have been way more interested in experimententing with their video software than actually showing clips of waves... they're probably pretty happy with the result to, given that they didn't think it necessary to provide sources to any of the clips shown they seem to think noone watching this would be interested in said clips either.
The not-so-great: Overly dramatic, inaccurate, superfluous photos The good: Nice voice and pronunciation, decent graphics, good references Keep working on it. These videos could be excellent
Please show the footage at full screen, not through that 80s looking computer screen effect.

I agree. I couldn't see why he refused to show the guy surfing the wave for more than a momentary clip at a time.
The beautiful seas and oceans can instantly turn into graveyards.

Billy Johnson I’m not sure since it happened during the 1950’s or 1960’s
Jake Alter there were cameras that recorded videos during the First World War of course there were cameras around then
WasteOfOxygen then there probably were, I wasn’t sure

To avoid copystrikes probably. But that's a silly thing for a channel of this size to worry about.
Tom Kelly pewdiepie has 99mil and still worried about that
